I have been doing this AFK method that grants you 50k xp with boost on.
I suggest doing it when you go to sleep.
Steps:
Put any map on Horde on Master difficulty
Play with Jack on round 1 with NO bots on
Hide with Jack in a place that no one can reach
Thats it
when you return to lobby, easy 50k xp

Some smart players really think this method can help you to re-up to 50 without putting any efforts on the game? so down vote it...lol 
I am currently re-up 42, this is a good ways to level up when you are working, sleeping or not staying at home, can help you level a bit as a supplementary way only.

Cap is at 4 hours aparentely and this weekend is free boost weekend with "boosted boost" (gives you 200% extra)

Looks like you earn less doing the horde method than the escape method, in your solution it's only 50k in 4h but in escape i can have 50k in like 40min

I agree with blackout, the escape method seems the best method. I mean the loading screens are the worst part but it’s more faster. Also with the double xp weekend it’s even more faster.

The escape method is faster but you can't play escape when you're sleeping. Therefore, using Jack in Horde while you're sleeping is a good method to get some XP.

This is an afk method as stated in the solution. Yes escape method gets more XP but you can’t do it afk. Yet everyone feels the need to make comments crapping all over this

I have a question, if i do this method, but i select my console turn off after 6 hours of innactivity, i will get the exp if i do not back out to the main menu?

I'm constantly getting kicked for idling as well, maybe needs to be a wired controller but was happening on the PC as well. Will try again later

So yeah even using a wired pad with some stick drift I get kicked for idling. Worked fine on a run just under 4 hours and got the 50K XP. Tried another run of just over 5 hours got kicked for idling and got about 1000 xp

Did this last night with the x6 boost weekend and netted 150k xp. I leave controller plugged in and bring up the score display with the match timer and doesnt appear to kick for idling.

This doesn’t seem to work anymore, or they nerfed the XP dramatically. I sit in a match for 4 hours and only get 4,500xp

I usually go to Forge, in the middle of the map, there are to unreachable places when standing right in the middle on your right and left. I just stay there in the corner.
Put my controller in the charger, and go to sleep or work.

Still works. I usually drop the fab, hide and wait for the round to start. I pull the controller battery and you can see jack floating in the background where it says "Please reconnect controller". I do get the occasional disconnect but it's not very often.

If you have a 2nd account with some level of Gears allies, you can get a little extra EXP.
Just put your account and the 2nd as Jack. I don't know if you can invite more friends and not get kicked for inactivity.

I had never played the game before. I think it would be helpful a couple tips to the solution for new players like me. Such as: After selecting Horde > Custom Match > Host Private at the top. Turn on all difficulty modifiers to get the mode Difficulty to Master.
Also, the game was making me move the Fabricator at the beginning of the match before Wave 1 would start,, then I would be hide. Not sure if that's how it is on all maps.
Your score in-match will be negative and will never increase. You don't see the XP you're gaining from time spent in the match until after the game is done. You can just go die when you're ready to quit.

Great guide, just tested and still works. Once I have all my other achievements done, I can use this to finish the re-ups off.

Can someone tell me why i didn‘t get the boost xp? The first time i used this method was all fine and got my 25k normal xp and 25k boost xp = 50k.. and now i do the same thing but didn‘t get my boost xp.. every 4h just 25k.. i have 15 days boost left but the blue xp window with the x100% wont come up on the reward screen at the end🤔

Method still works as of September 5/20. Been keeping my controller plugged in (play and charge kit) along with using a rubber band on the right analog stick to make sure movement is recorded.
If you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, there is a perk that gives the starter pack which includes 15 days of double XP. Managed to reach my second re-up in less than a week and on-track to earn a third one. Playing on the Xbox One.

For maps, you can put, All Fathers or Forge or any map you want. The important thing is to place Jack on a place the no one can reach.

It'd working just fine on both XBOX ONE and PC (I tested it on both yesterday).
Thing is, I am capping out at 25,000xp. Did TC find out about this and cap the xp gain? This was on an over 5 hour game while I was sleeping.

Through the 4th of January 2021 TC has multiplied the XP and (daily free boost), etc.
So with boost I am getting 150000 XP.
PS: play 'Jingle (my) Juvies' horde to fast upgrade your characters to level 20.
