Don't have any methods or tricks but actually got this on my second game. If you're playing tight competitive match that goes three rounds with the ring changing sides a lot it's not too bad. Just focusing on always breaking the ring even if you have to sacrifice yourself to do so.

Is this achievement glitched? I got 10 breaks twice and it still didn't unlock. Both games I lost, do you have to get 10 breaks and win for it to unlock?
Edit: Never mind I just loaded the game back up and I unlocked it

I also unlocked it on river. I believe that’s the best map for it.

In German was this not good translatet.
In german it means that you have to kill enemys 100 gp but you need to break the ring 10 times while the enemys catching them.

I'm having a lot of trouble with this achievement. I have never had more than 6 breaks in a match. Usually one team dominates so there just isn't enough time to get 10 breaks.

I did it on the map river, when the achievement first came out. Usually what I would do is throw a smoke and just run in quickly then hide let them cap and quickly break. Even if I did I’d manage 2-3 breaks a hill. Keep trying you will get it. Try to get a match where it goes to 3 rounds. Ranked match

They changed it, it's a LOT easier to do now. (previously it was 1000 points of ring breaks) so now it should be very very doable for the average player

I got 11 ring breaks In a ranked game last night but no achievement?

It’s been a while since I played. But these title update achievements are sometimes glitchy. I would restart your Xbox load up the game again and try it again, might pop
For you that way or you might have to do it again. I had trouble when they first came out

Quick question: Is this still obtainable because they took koth out of ranked?

Still obtainable as of 6/21 in "control" playlist. I would pop in and out of the ring multiple times if the enemy had it since caps happen instantly, so I could get 4 or 5 breaks before they found me sometimes . Popped mid-match for me.

Why did they take KOTH out of ranked?

Control is definitely easier, instant cap, instant break. Just go back to ring dancing like in Gears 2 for a bit

This is easy to get.
^On Control you can just ring dance GOW2 style and each break will count toward this achievement.^

Achievement is glitched for certain players at times. Make sure it’s a ranked match and control you need to do it all in one match

I can validate that after 27 breaks in the SSG Control event, it doesn't count. Must need to be strictly competitive. The only reason I tested it there was because I noticed I made progress with a Tour task of triple kills in competitive. It counted for that tracker and gave me stars for Tour progress but did not count for the achievement.

can u actually start a ranked match with 2 ppl? i can double box but 2 ppl seems to good to be true

20 breaks in competitive control worked great

A ring break is where the other team has control of the ring in king of the hill. So if your the locust, the blue has control and you break it, vice versa.

If you’re like me and are struggling to do this achievement, definitely try the map river! I literally got 10 breaks within one round and ended off with around 20 by the time the game ended. The only reason I suggest the map is because it’s extremely small and sometimes you spawn behind the enemy team, making the ring breaks easier. Just remember to toss you’re smoke before breaking the ring.
