Hey Gears!
**EDIT 10/6/21. What we have learned during the course of this operation is that some events appear to count and others do not. I will no longer update this for every weeks event you will just need to play a match and see if the current event is tracking or check the comments to see if someone has mentioned it.
Unfortunately it does not look like anyone that did not receive any prior credit was able to get any credit now that the achievement is properly tracking. You should be able to progress the achievement in the events going forward (*although it seems some events may still not track*)
For the achievement itself you will need to win 10 versus matches that come as “ weekly versus events.” These events can range from things like snipers only, to control events, etc. your best bet if you are not a good PvP player is to get into the team based events and hope for a good team. You only need to win 10 matches total (it can be the same event or a combination of events).
*Doing old event style game modes in custom matches does not count. This must be the current weekly event in the multiplayer versus “weekly event playlist”. Often there is an associated medal in the weekly events section of the tour of duty which will track your wins in that current operation.
You can find the multiplayer events in the “Multiplayer” section of the game and then select “Versus”. Once there, the top section of the menu should be where the “event” is located. That is the playlist you need to win. Cheers!

I managed it in the Control Tuning playlist. Got the six wins I needed in eight games. Our final match was an all-female character squad and we dominated. Match ended with the score at 300 - 3. Oof.

Hey y’all! Updated the solution. The current event seems to be tracking. Unfortunately no retroactive progress has been added. It seems your starting % is what it is at this point. I’ll certainly update if they provide any more info!

It is for any combination of events 10 total wins. But it is not tracking for the vast majority of players. Xbox says a few people have unlocked it

Marky will do. That’s my plan is to update this as soon as it’s tracking. I’m here trying to help but people giving downvotes which is odd. Anyway, Chainsaw that is not accurate. Myself and many other on the gears forums have won way more than 10 matches of weekly events prior to the update. It seems the majority of people it is at 0. Why a handful of people unlocked it doesn’t make sense to anyone yet

Did a couple of win matches, achievement doesn't track any of them. I'll do the rest of my wins when it will be actually fixed. No way I'm playing this multiplayer to find I have to do it all again.

Damien, what I said was accurate I think you just misunderstood. There is a difference between achievement progress tracking (10%, 20%, etc) and getting credit for progress. This achievement has achievement progress tracking (which is why some have progress after update) but the issue is no one seems to be getting credit at the moment. I was trying to highlight that you don’t need to play 10 matches to see if it unlocks because when it DOES start giving you credit for progress, the achievement tracks this progress and you can tell after the first game it is counting (10%).

It seems the people who unlocked it did so “retroactively” but it doesn’t appear that everyone (including you and me) who certainly won over 10 versus event matches got credit. The current tracking problem is that you cannot progress your tracker, no matter what it is currently at. Everyone unlocking it is doing so on logging in to Op 8

I understand that people are frustrated and leaving negative votes because they are looking for a solution to unlock it. I am just trying to be helpful and will post in the solution once the achievement is fixed. Currently, what you need to know is that if you didn’t unlock it upon launching Op 8 you cannot currently progress it. I’m sorry if that angers you enough to downvote but I will still try to be helpful and keeping checking the gears forums to help out our more appreciative TA community

^ They did, it's broken. It only unlocked retroactively for some people. I only got 90% even though I've won probably 100+. Some people started on 0% even though they'd done enough to unlock it.

Allslayer I agree. I mean I was able to crank out 10 wins pretty quick in the FFA playlist. But I’m wondering if that is what is tracking (and historically for those who retroactively unlocked it). I also worry that future events may not count so I highly recommend trying to get it done this week if you can stomach it!

@The AllSlayer I suspect it's purely because this week's event is an actual event, Shauny's wording is really really poorly put. I suspect (among others) that it will count for people who didn't get retroactive unlocks, but it won't pop it for them. I personally got 10+ wins across events since they were introduced with 10+ in OP7 ALONE. but the current vampiric FFA playlist is awful imo purely because the markza mk2 is in it and if you get it, you win. I would rather rip my own eyes out than have some low skilled random who happens to get the pick up win because he can auto heal with 1 shot.
I bet next week's event is gonna be some bullshit too with this. they're insisting on cramming the markza mk 2 down people's throats atm despite it being utterly unbalanced. like if it's OSOK it'll have that as a pick up.

Won a game today and didn't track. This achievement is so glitchy. When the update first dropped I was at 70% when it should have auto popped. Then it went down to 0%. Won a few and got it back to 30%. Now it stopped tracking again. Ughhh

Can confirm that if you had 2 wins on the previous event, it won’t track until you have 3 wins on rumble event and then after the third win, progress will track 30%. Also, my friend had 8 wins and on his 9th win it wasn’t tracking but on his tenth he unlocked the achievement.

I wouldn’t say unable…it’s just unnecessary to update the solution weekly. People are aware at this point some events track and some dont. You just need to have some common sense and check the comments or play a match

Only wins I've gotten in SSG have been when I've piggybacked off random partied-up players that are better than me. If I'm the best player on my team I know the other team will win lol.Most matches seem to be 4 v 3 because of a smaller player base, so if you're on the team with less people, just quit to menu.

I have a friend that is at 80% for this, but it started at 80% after update. The achievement will track if you’re getting progress, but from talking to people it seems that any achievement unlocks or progress gained happened at update and not after during event play. If anyone as received progress post update, please post what other modes you played (if any) as there may be a work around no one has reported yet.

This Achievement popped for me today when I loaded the game in, even though I’d been stuck at 60%, I’d only played 1/2 a game of new event, wasn’t fun. I’d definitely won the 10 games previously tho, so maybe something has been fixed.
