How to unlock the Pass the Soap achievement in Gears 5 - Definitive Guide

Must be done on Escape with 3 people.

This achievement is known to be buggy and may not unlock on your first attempt.

While you progress through the level you’ll come across this decontamination room (refuge shower) where their will be 3 separate doors leading into showers.

All 3 party members must shower in the same room by pressing the button on the wall.

Best bet is partying up with some friends or trying with randoms.
I got mine with random players. I played as Keegan and used he’s ammo ability to lure the randoms into the shower room with me.

Edit: You can find the decontamination rooms in these maps:
‘The Hunters’ (Challenge map)
‘The Hive’ (Past hive)
‘The mines’ (Past hive)

Note- The map 'The Gauntlet' does not have a shower.

Haven’t tested that yet but I’m not sure you can play with up to 3 players on splitcreen.

It certainly is best to do with a premade group. Been trying to get it with randoms and like people seem to actively avoid getting this done.

When just starting the game I pressed the menu button and selected chat. I asked the random people if they wanted to go for this achievement and got it first try like that.

You dont mention where to do this. Where does one find a map that has decontamination room?? Thanks for saying which one doesnt but... lol

You can get decontamination rooms in ‘The Hive’ which will most likely be the fastest one to get. The current challenge hive (not sure what the name is) also has a decontamination room.

This also works with the Halo Reach characters as well as Sarah Connor, not just the OG 3 Hivebustes.

Did this twice without it unlocking and not pressing the shower button. Did it a third time where I actually pressed the button and it unlocked...not sure if that matters

Pressing the bottom is needed while all members are in the same shower room for the achievement to pop.

All 3 Hivebusters must enter the same shower in between Chapters in a Hive Escape.

- If all 3 of you go into the same show you will unlock this funny achievement

- Me and one friend just followed a rando into the shower, all 3 will get the achievement

In the "Escape" mode, it is necessary that all 3 players, having reached the save zone, stand in one booth and undergo disinfection.
