How to unlock the Rite of Passage achievement in Gears 5 - Definitive Guide

In this guide is I will instruct on how to complete the hivebusters dlc on insane solo since doing it in coop you can just have a friend or second controller play on an easier difficulty to make it simple.

You're going to want to play as Mac because his barrier ability comes in very handy in all situations.

Next thing is your choice of weapons excluding the beginning of chapter one since you don't really have a choice until the end. I prefer the Lancer GL obviously for the grenades and a long range weapon such as the Longshot or Markza. In my experience the Markza did incredible damage to bosses especially with an active reload towards a weak point.

Most of the dlc isn't too bad but it's important to keep in mind to use your squads abilities. If you being rushed by grenadiers or juvies activate Lahni's electroblade and she will either take them out or at least aggro them while you do. Whenever you need ammo activate Keegan's resupply ability to regain ammo.

I suggest following along to Drastic Ed xo 's guide for all the collectibles so you can pick up your character ability upgrades throughout each chapter to further help you.

Most of the bosses will not give you too much trouble but it's important to know that they can all insta kill you and make you restart.
-The carrier in chapter 2 just focus on staying alive and shooting the generator when it becomes available
-The flock in chapter 3 can be killed quickly if you land 2 lava falls on it and some quick damage from you
-The carriers at the end of chapter 3 will shoot out of their chest from far away and can be easily missed if you're not aware of it coming. Just bob and weave right to left and activate your barrier to keep you safe until the chapter ends
-The warden in chapter 4 just shoot him in the head with the Markza it does a lot more damage
-The pouncers at the end of chapter 4 can be a pain but use the silverback's rockets and it should take them out quickly
-The snatcher at the end of chapter 5 can kill you by just spitting on you or with its tail shot. Markza it's stomach
-Finally the Wakaatu. This asshole takes a lot of damage and can insta kill you with several acid spit attacks. The acid bombs that land on cover typically won't kill you but surely can. When he burrows in the ground and pops back out he rotates his head twice spewing acid. You do not need to destroy the acid sacs on his neck to defeat him you just need to deal enough damage. Use barrier often and ask Keegan for ammo. Lastly the trees are the best cover because they can't be destroyed and he can't shoot around them.

Hope this helps!

^ they definitely beefed up the enemies in this DLC. When I went through it, I also noticed how much more aggressive and tanky enemies were on insane.

Difficulty achievements stacked for the main game so I would say it should pop if you finish it on inconceivable
