How to unlock the These New Recruits Got Grit achievement in Gears 5 - Definitive Guide
Step 1 is to unlock any these heroes with gears points or iron. Then for step 2, pick a hero and complete 50 waves in one sitting on any map on any difficulty to have this pop. I tried completing just wave 50 to see if that would count (like the mastery completions) but it looks you do have to do all 50 for this to count. You will get it by playing as any of these heroes, doesn't matter who the other players are.

Neither of you above has the cheevo at the time of writing, I did a full run with baird and nothing, I suspect you need to have the full squad of characters in the game or at least 3 of them looking at the wording to get this to unlock.

Unlock any of the characters via their totem/ buy with iron. Must complete all waves 1-50.
I completed a full run 1-50 as Baird (Ability to buy turrets is very useful), solo (no AI offline) on Reclaimed. Played on beginner, so deaths do not matter; just restart from the current wave. As long as you don't get disconnected from the lobby and all waves are completed, it should pop at the end of the match.

Now the characters have been untied from classes. But the condition remained the same. That is, you can take any classes, but the characters must be from those described in the achievement, which skin doesn’t matter either.
