How to unlock the One-Night Stand achievement in Gears of War 2 - Definitive Guide

Okay, let's say you can't talk anyone into playing co-op with you (or you simply want to experience the easiest achievement of all time). Do this:

Turn on a 2nd controller, sign in, and start a new game. When the option comes up, skip the "Train the Rook" part of the game. Achievement unlocked. Zero gameplay involved.

This isn't the easiest achievement ever. The Simpsons Game's "Press Start to Play" beats it by a hair.

Didn't unlock till after the hospital/streets section. So just before Prescott starts his speech.

DakotaThrice is right. This did not work, and it did not unlock until the end of the whole entire first chapter. This has been patched or something.

Works fine with a guest profile in split-screen. Unlocked right after the cutscene.

Back compat on Xbox One, this required me to actually beat the first chapter (Hospital/Streets) afters skipping tutorial.

Confirmed it worked for me on my 360 with a second controller. Pushed LT to skip training and it unlocked after the cutscene.

On Xbox Series X: Unlocks after skipping the tutorial (once the cutscene finishes).

Can confirm that this still works as of 8/20/2022

Tried doing it with skipping the cutscenes and nothing. I waited patiently and watched them, achievement popped right away.

Host or Join a game doesn't matter how you do it, just complete one chapter in co-op mode and you will unlock this achievement.
