Pretty straight forward. Complete Waves 1 through 10 on each of the 5 Flashback maps, which are the following:
Canals
Gridlock
Mansion
Subway
Tyro Station
I tried soloing it, but it was difficult. I completed all the waves with just 1 other person so very doable with 2 people. Just make sure you take advantage of the Boomshields as you get closer to Wave 10.

Also dont forget that you can tag grenades on walls and other objects to act as mines.

Great solutions.
I also found that playing these solo worked. What I did was to have a guest on a second controller. I hid the other character somewhere safe and when I was struck down, I was able to revive or just play through.
Most of the enemies avoid the inactive one anyway and I was able to save a lot of time from restarts.

Does anyone know if anything keeps track of how far you got on what maps? I know i have gotten some of the maps done 1-10 but i dont know which ones. Kinda sucks having to go through all of them again.

Maybe. The Gears of War website tracks what maps you have played on. Try logging on with your gamertag.

I got this achievement today, and to be honest... it's way easier than it looks alone... i solo'ed all the levels... Here's my strategy on doing it alone:
The first 4 waves should be very EASY to complete by yourself, If you're really good at Gears of War 2 it'll only be around wave 7 that you (might) wipe. Starting from the 5th or 6th wave, there will be grinders... kill these, get their weapon and shoot everyone into pieces... Multiple grinders will come in 1 wave according to wich wave you are on.
I replaced the shotgun by a torque bow, because this does alot of damage as well and if you aim well you can headshot the big guys with 1 arrow.
For the rest of the mobs i used my normal chainsaw gun... fast reloading gives damage bonuses and all types of Horde will go down without even reloading...
