Hey Gamers! Welcome to 2v2 Gnashers aka "Boxes" in GoW4! Pretty fun playlist for us old-timer GoW4 Gnasher only players!

**Edit 12/30: Now that the player base has shrunk a bit players are reporting easier times matching up with friends and themselves. If you have two Xbox’s or a friend and can both log in and join a party, search for a match at the same time to get matched up. Doing this you can trade wins, or double box against dummy accounts. Doing this at late hours will also increase your chances of matching up**

Below is a video to discuss some basic tips and strategies to this game mode to help you on your way to 25 wins! I don't really believe in "boosting" so I hope this video helps you all out and gives you some basic strats not only for GoW4 2v2 but also just GoW4 in general.

Seeing a few negative votes. I am simply giving some basic strategies and tips in this video to help you toward 25 wins. Anyone giving negative votes feel free to offer your advice on why and see if you can give advice to other players looking to get this achievement! Be constructive and if you have any tips I’ll gladly add them to the solution!

that's why you're being downvoted. I have over 2000 hours in this game and getting 25 wins was so painful for me, it's boring as shit.

Wanted to point that one of my matches didnt count towards the achievement because there was 1 person who quit from both teams (so the match became a 1v1).

Most important tip for this cheevo is to have a good teammate. If you have a shit teammate you will struggle to get any wins. Two average players working together will have the edge over one good player and one bad player. Teamwork is essential in this mode.

2 bronzes vs 2 platinum, this is why I hate gears multiplayer. Thanks for the tips though this will still be a real chore

EDIT: 15 losses in a row against onyx/platinums and I've gone from bronze to gold. This is the most stupid matchmaking in the world.

In all honesty I can’t remember if the Xbox tracker kept track of this or not. I feel like it did but I’m not 100% sure. Also, it only works in the boxes playlist

Finally got this achievement... hard to get as I am not that good and there are really few players, average matchmaking for me was > 10 minutes. Yes, the tracker works (4% progress for each victory).

Mines stopped tracking for some reason. It was on 72%. I won 2 matches and it didn’t go up anymore. Reset my app and game, won another match. But it’s still stuck on 72%.
It’s a pain to get as it is, without it not tracking. Anyone else having problems?

Mine has stopped tracking at 32% and the buttcrack one wont pop for me. It's been at 90% for a while

If it isnt updating for you, open the achievement app and check your progress there. It wasn't updating for me from the side tab while in game for some reason

A match is a game. You have to win 25 games/matches of 2v2 Gnashers (aka boxes)

im looking for players too! sat in a lobby today in the background whilst i work.... it tried to find players for 2 hours 20 before picking up a team..... when it gets over an hour the timer cycles back to 00:00 if anyone is curious haha!

2v2 Gnashers is only available in Ranked/Competitive and you have to be level 20 before you can play those. Just a heads up for anyone looking to boost using that playlist without checking first

I understand that totally (I even say in the video this is simply some basics for those trying to get the 25 wins and be done with it). I personally like the game mode but still prefer KoTH or TDM, but thought I’d share some 2v2 tips to help people get that cheevo! Thanks for the input Schwartz!

With this playlist you just gotta hope you get put on the team with the stronger shotguns. Some games ill pump 2-3 point blank shots into my opponent and won't even get a down . Then they'll dance around and one shot me from a fair distance. The game is bs folks. Thankfully ive got my 25 wins, regrettably not one teammate save yet 😟

Hey Damron. I actually got this achievement using a rather unorthodox method. I used 2 consoles and 2 copies of Gears 4. You will also need 2 monitors or TVs so you can see both screens simultaneously. If you have game pass on your main account, you can share it with another account on another console. That’s what I did. On each console, I had 2 accounts signed in for a total of 4 accounts. I was able to consistently get matched up with my own dummy accounts by searching in 2v2 Gnashers playlist at the same time. Got the wins easily with my main account. This is an option if you are struggling to get wins legit like I was. Not sure if you can get banned from Gears 4 multiplayer for this but I didn’t care as this was my last achievement in the game.

Managed to double box this as I figured a ban wouldn't hurt me too much being I'd knock out the last 2 online cheevos for this. If the bans are automated I got it done before it kicked in. If they're manual then either matching at 1am or not seeing enough reports from "real" opponents got it done. In fact after 1am central US, I was apparently the only person in queue with myself and matched my dummies almost instantly regardless of widening skill gap. I would block any "real" players I matched with on both consoles to try and keep us out of each other's way.

I'd say if you're going to boost this do it early AM and do it last and in as few sessions as possible. Maybe when TC wakes up tomorrow morning my ban is inbound lol
