A reference to the original Gears of War title, this can be unlocked in a Private match too, provided you own the map Security, by either buying it or buying the season pass. If you don't own the map, you need to do the same thing obviously, but in public Versus, where you just need some luck to get the map to appear in the rotation. A convenient workaround is that you only need one person in the private lobby to own the map and then you can select it from the menu in a Private Versus lobby, so you can get a friend that has the map to help you.

Go to Versus > Host Private > Switch the map to Security > Press to open the match options menu > Switch "Fill with bots" to On. If you have a second controller, you can put your guest on the other team and not use bots at all. If you do end up playing with bots, keep the Bot Difficulty set to Casual just to make it easier and faster.

You'll obviously need to be playing as Minh. Any variant of that character will do and his most common one, E-day Minh, can be crafted at any time for 600 Scrap.

Start the match like you normally would and just go straight to the small balcony that's in the middle of the closed corridor. It's the one to your right hand side when you get out of the COG spawn. Walk up to the button, press to deactivate the lasers and then wait a bit for the sirens to go off, informing you that the lasers are about to be activated again. The achievement will pop then and it doesn't matter if you die in the process.

As any variant of Minh, De-activate the lasers on Security.

This can be done solo in horde!

Host a private match:
Pick the map Security, and caracter Minh.
If u dont have him, you can create E-day Minh for 600 scrap.

Start the match:
Go straight into the building and out on the small balcony. No need to pick up the fabricator.
Press X to turn off the lasers, and the achievement will unlock.

The below video will show you the FASTEST and EASIEST way to unlock this achievement in about 60 seconds. Keep in mind you will need to own the security map to do this method as well as having a Minh character unlocked (E-day Minh is the cheapest to craft at only 600 scrap). If you don't own the map, find a friend who does and you can still do this method.

I recommend going for this achievement in a privet game of horde. If you own the map Security, you can host a game of Horde or privet PVP (if you do not own the map but have a friend that owns it, they can host). You'll obviously need to be playing as Minh.

Start the match, then run to the button to turn the lasers off & press then wait a bit for the sirens to go off. The achievement should unlock right after that. If you have any questions just ask. Video guide here:
