Struggling to get this achievement, but this looks like the best approach. Now off I go for another 10 (or 30) tries at this.

I got this achievement with only one player (myself). You can do this achievement in split-screen local multiplayer. Here's how I did it. I set up a game of local split screen multiplayer and loaded up "Pale Horse" on Insane. I used one character to collect all of the grenades, tork bow ammo, and lancer ammo. Then I continued into the fight. I left one of the characters along the block right where you start. Then I used the other character to run up and beat RAAM by using the block glitch, which is still usable in this game. If you are unfamiliar with this glitch, look it up on youtube as its all over that site. Get RAAM stuck on that one block and continue to unload on him using the grenades to get rid of the wretches and unload with the lancer. This isn't the quickest method, but it will work if you don't have anyone or anyone reliable to play with.
THIS METHOD WILL REQUIRE TWO CONTROLLERS IF YOU WANT TO ATTEMPT IT BY YOURSELF.....

Finally got it using your method! It was a bit tricky to get him in the right place as he frequently found his way around the block but eventually all the pieces fell in place at the same time. I used the torque bow to scare off the kryll after spending all my grenades, but made sure to hit the wall behind Raam instead of him directly, as the latter usually killed me as well. The lancer took care of dealing the damage. Anyway, thanks for posting this tip. Cheers :)
