How to unlock the I Can See You! achievement in Gears of War: Ultimate Edition - Definitive Guide

As stated in the achievement description, you must 'mark' 100 enemies ending in a kill. To 'mark' an enemy you must aim any weapon with cn_LT and click cn_LS. After you mark an enemy a teammate must kill the enemy you have marked for it to count. If you et any, you will see progress toward the achievement at the end of each match.

If you leave negative please state a reason why before doing so please.

Does the enemy have to be killed while he has the mark that he was spotted, or can he killed after it disappeared?

Somebody correct me if im wrong, but I believe the enemy has to be marked when the kill occurs.

Does it have to be in public games or can you do it in private matches while doing the Annex achievement?

@IRX7 I don't know if it can be done in private but it is confirmed to be able to be completed in social and competitive.

Can be done in social matches. Note that the spots have to be done by main account, and if using a second controller, the kills have to be made with second controller. You cannot spot and kill with main account (same controller), they have to be assisted kills.

Also might want to add, the game does track "Spotted Kills" in your stats, however it does not match my progress on the achievement.

It says I have 60 spotted kills in stats, and last time I saw my achievement progress on "I Can See You!" pop up after a match it was at 30-something.

So it seems there is some inconsistency in what qualifies toward the achievement vs. what qualifies as a "Spotted Kill" in stats.

There seems to be some confusion with this achievement. When you spot an enemy, it only counts towards the achievement if you see a +30 after your teammate kills them. It can be more than that though if you already had damage points against that enemy.

It also only counts when the spot marker is active. So if you spot someone and immediately after the spot goes away and your teammate gets the kill, it doesn't count.

Also only go off of what the after match tracker says. The spotted kills number in the war journal statistics is incorrect. I just got my achievement and the war journal says I have 211 spot kills. I believe that number includes the spot kills I got personally by spotting them right before I kill them myself. Those spots do not count.

You can get several easy spot kills a match if you look for teammates that are either curb stomping someone, chainsawing, frag tagging, just downing an opponent, about to 2 piece or torque stick someone. You can easily get a spot as a teammate does any of those. It does count if they are down and you then spot them.

Don't forget to spot an opponent you can aim with cn_LT with any weapon including the grenades and simply click cn_LS from any distance. The mark lasts about 2.5 seconds.

This is a 4 controller, dual box boosting method (likely two friends who have two controllers each) to get the following achievements.

Don't You Die On Me
Don't Hate The Player
Level 5
Level 10
Level 25
Re-Up
Seriously
CQC
Can't Touch Me
I Can See You

Set both systems up with split screen, and go to Versus.
Press Y and change both systems to a region like Japan.
Select Xbox Live, Competitive Match, 2v2 Gnasher Execution.
Count down from 3 and both press A at the same time. You should be joined together, if not keep trying until you are.

Alternate between who will win 6 rounds and who will get 7. For the person getting kills on your current round, just have them run straight over to the team losing that round.

The losing player should be moving his two characters side by side of each other. The person getting the kills will down one character then the other person will pick that one up. Do this twice for both characters, then the winning person will get the final kills on both.

The score board should look like this at the end.

Each match will take 10 minutes with all loading screens, and net 8125XP to the winner (after you have gotten the 10 consecutive game XP) and just over 6800XP to the loser. That is approximetly 15000XP each every 20 minutes for two players.

You can also finish off wins for "Can't Touch Me" and do spotted kills for "I Can See You" as well.

The person getting the kills gets more XP from 4 downs and 2 kills versus just getting 2 kills.

Does the next match automatically start or do you need to search again after each match?

You go back to the pre-game lobby but the teams stay there. No need to research again. Only if the game freezes, which I did have happen once.

My suggestion for anyone who is trying hard to get this done: Simply mark every single enemy you see in online multiplayer. Try to get used to it when aiming at them that you simply press the stick and the little mark above the enemy appears. This achievement comes with time if you just mark everyone you see. Don't worry about if someone of your teammates is close to them to kill them just spot them and you will often get a progress.
