How to unlock the Seriously... achievement in Gears of War: Ultimate Edition - Definitive Guide
*****
EDIT: this achievement has been updated in that social AND competitive kills count towards this achievement however private kills still do not count. The social kills you had before the update do NOT count towards the count.
The best way I've found to get kills is in King of the Hill as it is not restricted by numbers of deaths only score so it's possible to get many kills per match.
The fastest method to boost this seems to be 2v2 gnashers at the moment. Connect up a dummy account and get a friend to do the same. Simply match together by playing on a server well away from your location and searching at the same time. Then trade off kills alternating between who wins the final 7th round. Doing this method can net you around 20 kills per game (each should take around 10 mins including load times).
There is also a method to boost this found in the 360 version but this shouldn't be necessary, especially with the King of the Hill mode in this version of the game.
***furkokiller - "Mine popped at 10005 if people leave game it still counts as kills to seriously 1.0" ***
###BUSHEE BROW - "Mine popped at 10,014. Chevo will pop when the game ends, as you can see I had a few more kills than I needed.
Even if everyone but you leaves the game the kills still count. You will get credit for any kills you have gotten and the match ends immediately, regardless of which round you happen to be on. Naturally your team is the winner of the match.
Tracker pops up at the oddest times and is easy to miss." ###
Good luck and happy hunting.

For the record, it popped for me at 10164 kills at the end of a Social KOTH match. If you drop out of an ongoing match (manual quit, auto-kick for inactivity, lost connection to host, etc.), the kills you got that match will be added to your Statistics in your War Journal, but WILL NOT count for the Seriously... achievement. That's why it doesn't unlock most of the times at the end of the very match that brings you over 10000 kills. I wish good luck and patience to anybody still suffering through this.
EDIT: One more thing, the tracker only pops at the end of matches if your kills tally is a multiple of 50. I haven't had a Seriously ticker since about 3200 kills or so. I've played social matches all the time on various servers.

Seriously...
This is nothing compared to GoW original for the 360 due to the fact that there is no King of the Hill in that version. Im here to post some tips to achieve online kills. This solution does not involve boosting as Lukinator has that covered.
To keep track of your kills you can go into your War Journal and click on Statistics. It will be accurate until you obtain a kill in a Private match.
Tip 1: Play KoTH, Blitz OR 2v2 Gnashers, if you are playing any other game mode you will be wasting your time. 2v2 Gnashers can get repetitive so I have been doing my kills on KoTH.
Tip 2: Power weapons are your best friend, especially Grenades and Boom Shot in KoTH because enemies will group in the hills and you can get multi-kills.
Boomshot:
Torque bow:
Tip 3: If you are focusing on kills don't stand in the ring, you are a target.
Tip 4: Take alternate paths to the rings and attack from the enemies sides or their backs, this can net you some easy kills.
Tip 5: If you have a good group stick with them or play with skilled friends. If you have a good team they can have your back and you won't be fighting multiple people by yourself.
Tip 6: In my opinion this is the most useful trick I found right away and always use it, after I started using it everything got better so when you can get close to the enemy don't fire your Gnasher first but melee them and center your shotgun while they are stunned, shoot them dead.
Example of 2 piece:
Tip 7: If you are having a bad game and your Gnasher isn't doing anything just chainsaw everyone, mixed with the use of smokes so they don't see you coming.
Tip 8: Levels aren't everything when playing against people, but I would recommend backing out of the match if your team has all the lowest levels, in MOST cases the numbers say the outcome.
Have anymore tips to add to the group? Comment or message me and I will be sure to give you credit. Good luck and have fun!

UPDATE: Thanks to AceMcCloud and rafa1000house for news about TU
TU is roll on today, 9am PST on Tuesday 23rd February, and social kills before Title Update DON'T count for "seriously..."

EDIT: Forgot to put the link about Gears TU:
EDIT 1: Thanks to rafa1000house for the exact date when The Coalition changed competitive modes
https://gearsofwar.com/en-us/community/news/ultimate-edition...
The Coalition changed competitive game modes on October 30th, 2015 to only Blitz and Execution, so you can't play KotH like the others solutions says.
Well, some people (like me) are unable to find matches like others (Because the country we live/Internet connection/Random/Time we connect/Etc). So playing Blitz it's like 5 times in a week, and Execution is more slower for this achievement (And I can't find any match, anyway).
But fear not!! The Coalition posted about an important update, and social kills will be count for Seriously... :)
The problem is that nobody knows if all the kills made in social before the TU will count, but I'll update this guide when I know ;)

so does that mean 2vs2 gnasher boosting is a go
By truraider81 on 24 Feb 2016 01:54
Does this mean it can be done in private matches at all?
By Wrenis Pinkel on 24 Feb 2016 23:28
I'm doing this very nice achievement with a second xbox, a second account, a second pair of controllers and a 14 days of live gold trial.
It works in the same way as of the others solutions in gnasher 2vs2 (which means playing with a guest account) but, in this case, you can boost on your own.
If you put a rubber band on the of the pads of the second xbox (preferably on charge, so they won't disconnect), moving your characteres straigth and a bit on the left, you can achieve something like this:
Every match takes me 4:30 minutes (included the time wasted to see the final results and to start the following match). This means at least 13 matches and 13*14=182 kills per hour. All for you, without the necessity to turn with other players.
In case you don't have a second xbox, you can organise this method with a friend: today I'll leave my xbox at your disposal, while I watch a movie, go out with friends etc, and tomorrow you will give me back the favour. Just remember to leave your controllers on charge.
Another tip: if you want to know how many kills you have, consider that the game informs you when you reach, exactly at the end of the match, a multiple of 50 kills. For example I have been informed at 6500, 6850, 7200, 7550 and so on... If you never see the pop up on the bottom-right corner of your TV, probably it's because you have done an odd-number of kills and, obviously, if you add 14 kills to an odd-number you will never reach a multiple of 50.
For those who don't know: the numer of players killed reported in the stats of the game and in the app include also the kills done in private matches, but these don't count for the "Seriously..." achievement.
I hope this solution can help, otherwise let me know. Also if you find some mistakes on my English

That up and left rubber band tip is genius. Really speeds things up. Thank you.

just wondering do you even need to rubber band the other controllers. i have done this with the controllers disconnected on the other side when double boxing. surely the kills still count for me on my main as i am getting kills with that account.

WARNING: THIS SOLUTION REQUIRES FULL ATTENTION WHILE BOOSTING, NO AFK AND NO HALF HEARTED BOOSTING.
Firstly I've read a number of these posts and these are all good, however I've improved on the process to effectively get easily 250 kills per hour, possibly boarding 300.
Set-up: 4 players, 2 controllers each.
Game Mode: BLITZ, versus on social
Map: WAR MACHINE
Squad up and search, vote to skip and squad leadersquit until you find War Machine. This map's spawn points are the most efficient to run and be killed.
In the game 2 main accounts from opposite teams will get the kills in round 1, the other 2 main accounts in round 2. No AFK, but not as soul destroying at 2v2!
The killers (2x main ac) stand at torc bow spawn with their backs to the sand bags facing the direction of sniper spawn, stood inside the edges of the capture ring when it appears.
Then ALL other controllers (6x) run into the face of the opposite team killers Gnasher. All controllers need to change weapons to Gnasher to allow for ammo pickup.
You can get up to 100 kills in 10 minutes doing this method.
KILLERS:
-KILL IMMEDIATELY.
-INACTIVE CONTROLLERS GET YOU BOTH KICKED AND YOU LOSE ANY KILLS.
TIPS:
I found it tricky early on to juggle 2 controllers and remember to keep the guest ac active. Recommend you rest the main account on your leg and tap the trigger once you spot a kill. Keep the guest a.c. in your hands to run and navigate the map. Kill immediately, you not doing so effects the time taken in spawning and possibility of others being kicked.
THOSE BEING KILLED:
-RUN
-BE ACCURATE IN LEAVING YOUR COG/LOCUST IN THE FACE OF THE OPPOSING KILLERS.
TIPS: The timing of the kills is crucial, the players being killed have it easy. If you have been running and being killed immediately) will respawn within 1 second. This is what makes this so efficient.
ENDING THE GAME /ROUND:
Both killers were just inside the ring meaning no caps were possible.
As the game progresses cap the ring by moving out the losing team from the ring, and maintain the killing. Move the killers in and out as appropriate to stop or start capturing. We usually leave 15pts left until we reach our target.
In the second round the same team needs to win to end the game and bank those lovely kills!
I've actually been kicked while I was running about capping points all over the map, so moving the killers in and out helps you avoid that risk.
Usually we work with 1 game, usually 500 kills each in 2hrs with searching.
Seems there is no time limit, we've gone for 500 kills in 1 game -
less time searching for the map, more time killing! I've actually had over 1000 kills in a match by not switching at round 2 as the other guy had finished. Risky - but it paid off twice!
Best of luck with this, mine just popped today. So the above does work well.
Ps. Turn off your auto capture videos as this gets annoying.
