Revive 100 teammates in ranked matches

How to unlock the Don't You Die On Me achievement in Gears of War - Definitive Guide

To revive a downed teammate, you need to tap X while standing near them. They'll stand up instantly with full health, if completed successfully.

The leaderboards are not a good representation of your progress toward the achievement. It's glitched, so it will count revives that the achievement does not. Such as during lag and after players quit.

You need at least six players present at the end of the game for your revives to count. If too many players quit, you will not gain progress toward the achievement.

It will take several games to do this without boosting; possibly taking from days to weeks to achieve, but if you insist on doing it legitimately, Gridlock or Clocktower are good choices for lots of revives. Just stick close to your teammates and be ready.

Personally, I'd recommend boosting. It will take far less time and much less effort. To boost this you'll need at least six people, as you can't start a ranked game with less than six.

Start a versus ranked match with the following settings:

Game Type: Warzone
Selected Map: War Machine
Number of Rounds: 19
Bleed-Out Duration: 60
Round Duration: 10

Have everyone search for the match and join. Start the game when everyone is in the lobby.

When the game starts create two lines across from each other, COG in one line and Locust in the other, then have the first person in front of the COG line shoot the first person in the Locust line with a Lancer until down. The second person in the Locust line will revive him, and the COG will down him again.

After the second person revives him again, he will go to the end of the line, and the new first and second person in line will repeat what the previous did. Do this until everyone on Locust team gets two revives.

Once everyone on Locust has had a turn, COG will kill all but one of them. That person will then down the COG as the COG gets revives just as the Locust did.

After everyone on COG has two revives, have one team kill the other to finish the round. Make sure trade off round wins to make the match last longer.

Using this method, you'll play 37 rounds with two revives per round for 74 revives in one match for each person. If someone doesn't get their achievement in one match, you can play another five to ten rounds match. It shouldn't take longer than two hours to get all 100 revives.

I learned this method from https://www.trueachievements.com/ExtremePhobia.htm. We did it in a boosting session together, and I can verify that it works.

We tried this method as an afterthought to another session so only did 10 rounds, with a group of 8 it worked out as a little over 1 revive, per person, per minute, quite a smooth & efficient method!

For this achievement you must revive 100 or more allies when they have been downed.

One good place to do this is to play the map Gridlock. Follow an ally who goes to Longshot or Boomshot. If your ally at Boomshot hardcore rushes and grabs it as quick as possible, a lancer may down him and you can revive him quickly. At the Longshot tower, there are usually Lancer Battles happening. Just stand behind your allies, and revive any that go down.

Other than the Gridlock strategy, follow allies and stay really close. Have them between you and an enemy, and if they go down, be really close to them to be ready to revive them.

Quick note on the achievement. You get the achievement after the game has finished! :)

Ok, so you have to revive 100 people in ranked matches. This can be a tough one so here is a really easy method.

First ask a friend if they will help you, then host a bullet marsh match in a excution or warzone with any rounds you want. (You can always repeat this.) then once it has started you and your friend find a patch of darkness on the map. The best place is on your way to the sniper it is on your left or right depending on which side you spawn on. Your friend goes into the darkness and the kryll will down your friend then you rush in and revive. The kryll won't kill your friend but will down him. make sure you rush in and be careful you do not get downed yourself. You can only revive your friend 2 times during a round so make sure he doesnt go in the third time or he will die

I'll be happy to help anyone with this achieveent just send a message to
Lt x ShinySides and i will help you as soon as i can. I changed my gamertag yesterday so my previous gamertag is on here

I know this one is glitched. I'm at about 180 revives without the achievement. Is it possible that "100 teammates" really means "each downed teammate once" in each round?

They're not glitched. It's just the stupid "trust" system for Gears 1. To the best of my knowledge you need 6 people in a match for any kills, revives, etc. to count for achievements. Hence, when people quit out of matches (like they almost always do in Gears 1 anymore), you lose out on anything you may have earned. I was at 219 grenade tags before my achievement unlocked, so I'm going to boost the rest.

Yeah almost all of the online achievements for Gears are a little glitchy. 238 grenade tags before my cheev. I'm sitting on 187 revives, and I had to play some maps for 25 wins before those popped. Just keep going.

Remember, any theories about the glitchiness of the achievements is purely anecdotal! The only advice I have to offer is to play a one round local match to "lock" in your numbers when you're done. I can't say that this solves the problem, but it sure is minimal effort for a potentially large benefit.

This is a solution to make use of a bug I found to get a revive while the enemy does curb stomp.

Okay this is best done while you do weapon kill boosting, when someone on the opposite team is working on curb stomps simply press x to revive after the person doing the curb stomp as entered the animation (I.e as soon as he lifts he's foot) doing it this way you will get the revive and he will still get the curb stomp.

This will save a separate session just for revives.

Revive boosting method. 6 guys get the achievement in about 1 hour and half

Game type: Warzone
Map: War Machine
Rounds: 13 (or 14 in case someone mistake anything)
Round duration: 2 minutes
Time of bleeding: 60 seconds

Two players win the achievement at the same time:
1) both team meat in the center of the map
2) A cog downs two locusts, a locust downs the cogs
3) Cog and Locust revive teammates
4) A cog downs two locusts, a locust downs the cogs
5) Cog and Locust revive teammates
6) Cog kills the two locust, and the Locust kills the two cogs
7) Cog kills the last locust or Locust kills the last Cog (one victor each team in order to play 25 rounds)

In this way both the cog and locust get 4 revives each round...

PS: the two teams should stay close, but not too close: instead of reviving your teammate you can mistake and kill an enemy with curb stomp!

If a teammate goes down you will know by an indicator on the screen with a red arrow pointing in their general direction. If you can get there in time, stand next to the player and press X to revive them. Do this 100 times in ranked matches over your career.
