Is It a Spider
Kill 100 enemies in ranked matches with grenade tag

How to unlock the Is It a Spider achievement in Gears of War - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you have to tag one person at a time.
(In Ranked Matches) Splash damage kills will show up on leaderboard but do not count towards the achievement. Even tho on the bottom left, it will look like you got more grenade kills. Remember it must be a tag kill.

Confirmed that you have to tag 1 person at a time. You won't get multiple kills off 1 tag. Thank you for the solution.

Best Location for doing this The Warehouse (after riding the junker), Act 4 (I Think) When the stranded survivor falls through the wooden floor boards, fall down aswell, you will now be attacked by lambent wretches. Pick one side of the room and run up and down it, once you have multiple wretches in a close bunch trying to get you that's when you should make the tag, the explosion from one will have a knock on effect to the next wretch, there is no way to tell if you were successful but hearing lots of explosions when you have died can be an indicator for success.
Key 1: Save your grenades from the previous chapter don't use them. There are no grenades when you get to the wooden floorboards.
Key 2: You will most likely die with each attempt that is OK the explosion is too overbearing for Marcus, just reload checkpoint and repeat till Achieve pops

This isn't really a solution, more some advice for people trying to unlock the various kill related achievements as quickly as possible - at the end of every boosting session you should play a quick one round local match against a second controller before quitting to dashboard or turning off your xbox. I've done this and unlocked Seriously yesterday pretty much bang on 10000 kills. I've also unlocked all the weapon kill achievements after 100 kills.
I think what's going on is that sometimes, for whatever reason, the progress you make in the last match of a session isn't added to the various achievement counters. I first noticed this when boosting the 'Win 20 matches on map X' achievements - if I won 20 matches in one session the achievement would pop, but if I spread them out across multiple sessions I'd have to play 21, 22, sometimes 23 matches depending on how many sessions it took.
Of course, it's possible I've just been really, really lucky - there's no way I can prove this works. If people start trying this and it doesn't work out let me know and I'll take this solution down.

This one popped right on time for me. Here's to hoping others do as well!

I agree with Kiwi on his advice, as I've unlocked most of the weapon achievements bang on 100, or just a little over, as I'm not sure, cause they pop at the end of the match, and I've been doing 19 round boosting. On the occasion where my xbox got turned off, I lost about 20 TB kills, and had to go to 120 on them, as I kept a close eye on them, for said reason of this advice. So yeah, play a local match after finishing. I do now.

Grenade tags happen when you melee an enemy with grenades equipped. You spawn with a smoke grenade, but you need a frag grenade for this. Frags can be picked up on any map. Kill 100 enemies total in ranked matches with this technique to get the achievement.
