This worked for me, go to settings and usability, turn damage to 0%, Go through the level and right before it ends go back to usability and switch it to normal damage and finish the level.

At the start of the stage, go to settings and usability,
turn damage to 0%, go through the stage and right before it ends,
go back to usability, turn it back to 100% damage and finish the stage.
