How to unlock the Champion achievement in Gems of War - Definitive Guide
Edit --> corrected name of challenge.
Make new home kingdom with no previously completed challenges.
I completed more than 40 challenge trees. And no luck. Then i change kingdoms, but i have completed some of challenge trees there. So no luck again.
Sorry, if i get You hopes up and You still cant get the ach.
To unlock this achievement you need to get 5 stars on a challenge. This Achievement is fairly easy to complete if you have leveled up a few cards, my cards were all level 15 and it was super easy to complete. (I hit the bug though )
If your achievement percentage has frozen don't worry I have tried a different method but it all trial and error.
1. Start a Challenge in a new kingdom.
2. Change your home kingdom and start new challenge in that kingdom.
3. Use team 1 with your Hero and 3 other cards in a new home kingdom
4. Purchase new kingdom, Set it to home and Start Challenge
The 3rd one worked for me and my achievment Popped.
Hope this helps.
I think it hit and miss but there is an updating coming soon that I hope fixes this for people.
for the achievement you have to complete one challenge without starting a second one.
so if you already failed it:
buy another kingdom and start there the first challenge - complete it without starting any other challenge then the achievement should plop.
Challenges are the same as the normal story battles (meaning they don't require specific tasks or win conditions - just win the battle), though they will get increasingly more difficult. Each star in a specific challenge will be given based on its difficulty, rather than performance. So you win one star at the lowest difficulty (unlocking Challenger), and after completing all five difficulties you will have mastered the challenge to unlock this achievement.

Challenges are rewarded after you complete quests. These challenges make you face off against the same opponents in five different battles. Challenges also reward souls so you can level up your troops. Along with souls, you can gain a decent amount of XP for completing the challenges. The trophy tasks you with gaining five stars on one challenge. This means you have to win the battle five times with the enemy troops getting progressively tougher. The first challenge is not too bad and I would recommend tackling this one if you just want the trophy. Be sure to level up your troops a bit before attempting the challenge though because on the levels after the third star, you will be taking a bit more damage and the enemies will have quite a bit more health. You will earn Challenger on your way to this trophy.
You can also earn the Champion trophy by gaining stars in challenges that have the same name but are in different kingdoms so if Broken Spire has the same challenge name as another area's, you could get 2 stars on the Broken Spire challenge and the other 3 in the other area's challenge. This adds up to 5 under the same challenge name, unlocking the trophy.
WARNING: Several people have reported that this trophy will not unlock once a challenge has been five starred but there is currently no workaround for this problem.
At team level ten, a five-star epic challenge is already quite passable if you are lucky and try hard. At least the very first test in the first kingdom.
With a fairly decent level of leveling, challenges in the kingdoms, even at the “Warlord IV” difficulty level, no longer pose much of a problem and can be completed easily. So I advise you to postpone this trophy until the team’s normal level.
