How to unlock the Exalted achievement in Gems of War - Definitive Guide

Edit- 11/20/22: A bit late in kinda updating this, sorry folks. Few patches ago we received another beneficial patch where potions have been implemented into your hoard level. You get a potion every 25 levels. At level 200 you receive your first power potion and every 25 levels after you will receive another one. So with tons of gold and hoard treasures any faction will become significantly easier overtime instead of having to wait for an event to roll around and going for that faction then. I’ll try to condense and update this whole guide at one point to make it flow better. But for now, most of you guys know the drill on how to work this. Keep at it. :D

Edit-9/18/18: Faction events are super beneficial to your success on getting maxed renowned. For anyone who didnt know or didn’t realize, the faction events always start that faction at lvl 20. However you keep all the stats you put into the horde regardless. Meaning if you made it to 200 and your horde stats gave you plus 20 to everything, during the event you will keep that bonus and get to start at the bottom once more. Which results into tons of easy farmed chaos shards, gold, souls and glory(though the gold and shards are what really matter here). For those who don’t know where to find this, it’s under the game tab where you find the daily dungeon, forge, ect. It also works just like invasion and raids; you can use your gems to acquire that factions troops more delve tokens and treasure to help lvl up the horde lvl.

Edit-12-9-19: Marky mentioned that upgrading the kingdoms past 12 is a great idea as it increase horde levels by 25%. That’s huge depending on your level for the faction

It's bullshit. They didn't even put it in the patch notes.

You make it sound like you don't get renown for anything BUT the highest level delves. I just did three successful delves without casualties yesterday (level 20, 30 and 40) and I got several hundred renown just from that. Unless I'm also missing something, this shouldn't take very long at all.

I did the same thing as you and have 80 points for highest level delve and 40 points for highest level delve without casualties, which matches the theory I exposed above. I'd be curious to know how many points you have for those 2 categories.

I'll check later, but I think I see what you mean now. So rather than just giving a renown reward for each cleared delve, it actually "replaces" your old renown score for whatever category you "beat your best score" in. That would indeed make this very grindy. My horde level is 16 btw, so that would explain my extra score.

Would also be curious to know why the 1000 renown achievement is marked as non-cumulative, implying there's a way to lose renown? That would suck.

I just completed the same level 40 delve for the second time and didn't get any extra reknown. Looks like we'll indeed have to reach level 500.

Hm. So when it says "with faction units", do we know how many are required? Just one? A whole team? I already have the All Seeing Eye legendary troop, but they're really not too amazing.

You must use 4 faction troops. I tried with 3 plus my hero and it didn't work.

Yeah, the horde level is absolute key here in making the renowned earnings possible. I wish we had more than 3 delves a day. The fact you only get three to choose between the two suck. And obviously we are going to get more factions in the future so I hope that changes too

By CheshireMulisha on 07 Sep 2018 15:47
This is by no means a solid team but it does pretty damn well in hall of the guardians up to the final fight. That battle is always a pain in the ass depending on what buffs you activate from the other battles.

Mang(dragon class)
Spirit something?(its yellow and blue and it’s a spirit centaur)
The Wild One(mythic card but have not traits on it yet)
Dragotaur(mythic, fully trailed)

Like is said it’s not amazing amazing but it’s doing me well enough I can use this for farming until I attempt to make any attempts at high level delves

megavore 3 traits

also lv.100 titan class

ievel 100 on faction event and all 3 underworld factions. only lost 2 battles entire time. but now lets see how i do pushing on! :}

I think I’m going to have a better chance with either guardians or crypt, but most likely crypt if I had to guess.

What is a good team to use for Crypt Keepers? I can't get beyond 120.
But then again I haven't been upgrading the Hoard at all because I was dumping everything into All-Seeing Eye.

The team I’m using for crypt that’s doing well is

Mang
Dragon soul
Visk
Divinia

Of course I’m only on 100 I think. However it hasn’t done me wrong yet when I want to progress. It may pose problems later but for now, it’s amazing

Thanks Kev.

I've invested quite a bit of resources into All-Seeing Eye (hoard level 80+, quality 9/10). I'll see if I can progress further here first before attempting Crypt. One of my All-Seeing Eye troops is already Mythic (I used an orb to do so) and fully-traited.

By neeker75 on 17 Sep 2018 03:49
Yeah that’s a plus. I went with crypt because I actually have all 4 troops which is needed and I can work on traits sooner than the other factions. I want to do guardians but the faction troops final battle is a monster and insane.

The cool thing with crypt is that the bonuses you get for using its team is nice. I should probably update the solution since that’s out

Mt. Crusher with Titan

Tacet suggested using Dragon's Eye as the weapon of choice and yours transform the enemy into level 12 baby dragons. ;)

My Crypt team is the tried and true (and sometimes boring):
Hero (Divine Protector maxed)
Infernus
Ubastet
Divine Ishbaala

Still trying to figure out the best approach on this cheevo, though. Are we saying just keep replaying a lower delve until the chest quality is maxed, then go from there?

During faction events your guild level also help you? That seems a bit odd. I’m not sure that can’t be true. Any source from where you heard that? I mean that would be awesome if it was. But I don’t think I saw any bonuses that were extra apart from my horde level during the last event.

Also, lvl 999 will take months if not half a year. As it increase the money goes up. The only way to save you from that it to do 5 elephants per go. However getting 5 elephants at a time is also time consuming. It’s a losing battle either way haha

Just completed level 490 on Crypt Keepers. Guess I will start my faction team run tomorrow. I won the last 11 out of 12 delves using:

Khaziel banner Hoard level is 125
Dragon's Eye - Fully upgraded, Titan level 74
Dragon Cruncher - Epic and fully traited
The Dragon Soul - Mythic and fully traited
Herdmaster - Mythic and fully traited

I alternate Dragon's Eye and Dragon Cruncher

Quite a tough achievement when it comes to winning a battle with the faction team. There is not much point in trying it unless your hoard is around level 200 so your troops can survive at least one skill attack. I am guessing that a sufficient delve level (with luck) is over 200. Enemies in battle 2 and 3 all have enemies with skills that hit for over 100 with very low mana required.

Sadly there will be more achievements with delves next year. They said something like they plan on focusing on that for awhile. Hopefully a lot easier of course but time will tell. Best bet is to at least get all factions horde to lvl 100, and lvl 10 quality.

I have a bad omen of a lvl 1000 horde down the road.

However yes, this will 100% be lucked based. Factions events are key regardless of spending tons of gems or not. At least the battles will go quickly win or loose at that level laugh

It’s been a long time it seems if it has, but there are several pure factions now that can be easily beat with a Hoard just at 100 like The Deep Hive, Wild Court, and Deurogoth. Bump them to 105 for the Enchantment potion and it’s even easier.

Highest level delved - 1,000 points
Highest level delved with faction units -500
Horde level -500 points
Highest level delved without casualties -500 points

About that, can anybody please tell me which is the exact horde level in which the 500 points are awarded?

By el tuaya arg on 30 Oct 2018 21:05
5 for every level, up to 100. You'll have to get it much higher than that for the faction win anyway.

I cleared 480 with no casualties today, 500 will fall soon and then the hoard grind begins...
0
0
By Awoo on 30 Oct 2018 21:41
Yes, for sure, much higher, but only if you want to push for the highest level to beat the final delve fight.

But that's not the intention here! I was merely asking to see if it was viable to level up ALL my factions' hoard levels to 100 just to get the renown rewards. Is it?

I have no idea. I finally got Sea of Sorrow up to lvl 10 Quality, so that I can farm some better chests. Hall of Heroes and the other non-Crypt Keeper one are sitting at 7/10. I'm not even thinking about continuing w/Crypt Keepers until I get their Horde lvl bumped up more. Just gonna grind until they're at about 200 and give it a go.
All of this takes a lot of gold which can be hard to do when trying to meet guild requirements as well.
Dragon Eye being nerfed now sucks, but Mang seems to be doing the trick for now.

What epic rooms did you find easiest? Some of them are straight up impossible with the 3x morana team.
0
0
By platinumpwnzor on 06 Nov 2018 01:15
I guess I'll answer my own question then...

The room with Dark Monolith is definitely the easiest. You want to get rid of Ancient Golem 1st, Dark Monolith 2nd. The other 2 are pretty much no threat. Annoying with the respawns, but pretty much a guaranteed win.

After losing yesterday with 1 skull hit left on the boss room Grave Seer (and almost smashing my controller), I literally breezed through this run, not losing any troops, or even coming close to losing any.

Same 3x Lady + Grave Seer team, Banner of Scales (red + blue), also at treasure horde 205. Good luck to everyone else.

By platinumpwnzor on 07 Nov 2018 11:07
I also think the Dwarf room is pretty good, I almost beat that one the other day (still only hoard level 121) but got fucked by bad skull spawns. They only have two troops with offensive spells, so once those are out of the way, you're mostly safe. Since the first troop (Dwarven Gate) has a defensive spell, you can also leave that one alive and whittle down its attack with Morana's trait to render it harmless while you clear the other enemies.

Pretty much any team with 4 offensive spell users though, like the Viper Pit or whatever it's called, you're likely screwed.

I've had this one on the back burner for a while and I think I need to start making some progress. I've all but abandoned my Crypt Keepers attempts. I take it Primal Rift is still the easiest to finish? What is the recommended non-faction team?
Right now I'm fielding:
-Hero with lance of Divinity (just because it uses yellow mana) and Titan to get a free shield with brown gem matches
-Glaycion
-Krystenax
-The Dragon Soul

If you have a better recommendation I would love to hear it.

Maybe i can help with some information.

I got this achievement in Crypt Keepers. To beat the level 500 with the faction troops, its not a question of luck only.

The troops from the enemy can kill you with true damage, even if you do not have a status effect (double the damage). To make sure your troops endure one hit (With status on the first battle, and without status on the final battle) is the way to the sucess, as it gives you enough time to destroy the enemies with Lady Morana.

To be able to endure the hit, i had all kingdoms in 5 stars (to get the + 1 bonus) and a 230 horde treasure level. I know its long and expensive, but that indeed was a turn for my tries.

It reduces A LOT the luck base

Just a heads up, Silver Necropolis faction is by far the easiest to do this achievement in and it is available again today (Tuesday, May 21st) as a one day event. You'll still need a few hours and a good amount of gems to buy tier 7 enough times to have enough sigils to do it but you can easily get the Exalted achievement today in this faction. I and many others did it when this faction released a few weekends ago. Don't miss it!

I finally got my first max Faction on Duergaroth. You only need 3 battles to complete a Delve in it. Used a custom team to max out most of it, then used Duergaroth troops to finish it off. Took several tries at Delve level 500, but finally beat it.

I beat the All Seeing Eye with the faction team on Delve 500 with a treasure hoard 199 this morning. I think I could have stopped at 184ish, but I figured I may as well get the next magic point.

The 5 minute clip I took only showed me killing their Xerodar, if you could imagine how long these matches took.

Yeah, I almost beat Viper Pit the other day in CK. It's not a nice matchup, but not too bad compared to something like Lair of Shadows, which is just laughably impossible and seems to show up way too often.

The Dark Monolith room, whatever it's called, it honestly one of the hardest ones too, I gotta say. One activation from the first or last troop is a sure kill, and it's really hard to take out either of them before that happens.

Coral room is good, Dwarf room is ok, and the one with Dark Troll and KoS in it is probably pretty doable too with decent luck. Pretty much any room with two attackers and two supporters is good, while any room with four attackers is a nightmare.

Just got it. Used 3 lady moranas and a grave seer. The grave seer was useless because all troops are maxed out. I would go 4 lady moranas if I had to do it again. This achievement is mainly luck based unless your level 400. I was around 210ish and got some quick insta kills with the moranas. Barely won it with my last troop being a grave seer fighting their grave seer in a skull battle.

Grave Seer is far from useless unless you don't know how to use him. Quad-Morana would be a much more luck based endeavor. Refer to my post here for the actual best way to play this, as far as Crypt Keepers go anyway. Exalted Achievement Questions

Yes, but there are ways to greatly increase your luck through strategic play. Your advice will only mislead people and prolong their suffering. I got my achievement at hoard 175 and had very close runs around 140, so you can save yourself a lot of time and gold by playing smart. The lowest I've seen it done at is hoard 99, for the record.

By Awoo on 22 Jan 2019 14:50
I can’t see how creating purple gems to fuel the enemies spectral knight helps. It easily back fires at times. I did it without using the grave seers power and I almost lost the third battle because they have no offensive power to attack when they’re the last one left. I was only going to use them if they attacked him but they always seem to attack the moranas first. I’m sure a thousand people are using your method unsuccessfully and smashing their controllers on the ground. You probably think everyone should join your religion as well because everyone else is false as well and wasting their time haha!

By C2DWELL on 22 Jan 2019 22:55
There is no question this achievement if run in Crypt Keepers is primarily luck-based.

However, one can maximize one's luck. Since Morana's luck is based on the number of purples on the board, most players have better fortune using a troop that increases the number of purples on the board rather than another copy of a troop of which you already have three. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I think most players are going to find that judicious use of Grave Seer leads to better results than a fourth Morana.

It's early days yet but I think this one might be tough, or at the very least take a very long time. I think that to get the maximum points for highest level delved (1000) and highest level delved without casualties (500) you'll need to unlock and beat delve level 500. I imagine the same goes for highest level delved with faction units.

Like the solution above says, the key to this is upgrading your horde level using treasures you gain through delving. You can preview horde level bonuses just to see how useful this can be. At horde level 1000 the bonuses are +182 to attack, +90 to magic, +364 to life, and +363 to armor for all troops delving in that faction's lair (bonuses from a faction's horde apply to that faction only, I would assume). So if you're struggling at a certain delve level, know that you may eventually power up enough through horde bonuses to make that level easier, and make some more progress. However, at only 3 delves per day, this will take a long time, although there will be sigil-based faction events that can speed this up a bit.

Anyway, happy grinding. This will be the last of Title Update 10's five achievements you will (hopefully) earn, probably a very long time after the other four.

eh, congrats isn't mandatory, don't worry. I'd imagine some people would like to know what to expect when the achievement would unlock, whether at the chest or at the faction home page or after the boss fight etc.

I did it on Crypt Keepers due to instakills (not consistent in the slightest). (faction event gave me the time needed to try many times over)

In order of ease (in my opinion):

Crypt Keepers
All Seeing Eye
Hall of Guardians
Sea of Sorrow (when it releases)

Hall of Guardians is extremely hard because the Gargoyle hits way too hard, but they have more stats than you.

Then prepare for some frustration. I have tried for over a week now and I have passed the second battle only twice, with 2 troops remaining. It's entirely luck based, and not just with insta-killing an enemy. You also need to get the right team in the middle (one with 1-2 damage dealers). I still lose on battle 1 at level 130 hoard. I would probably estimate on average I have a 10% chance to even see battle three.

My advice, which I wish I could go back and take, is to spend some time grinding a low level faction until you're around level 180 so your troops cant at least survive 2 enemy skills. I am kicking myself already for getting guardians to 120 hoard level.

With only 3 tries a day, this is a very awful achievement. the delve system was set up this way to push people into spending gems in the faction events. I would rather no new achievements over this.

From the 4.1 patch notes: "When a transform spell targets an enemy, it will now transform the target into the creature of half its original level, rather than a predetermined level"

So is this even plausible with anyone that isn't the Crypt Keepers? Before I put too much thought into this, I hit up Hall of Guardians because my main team was yellow, and Champ of Anu, Scorpius, Euralyi, and Dragon Eye are pretty legit, so I'm up to 490. (Champ of Anu tanks & tactically silences, Scorp/Euralyi makes a handy double insta-kill, plus you gain 2 to 3 stats a turn.

However, I'm just glaring at the faction grind on this and wondering how it's even plausible. I know I could wait until the next faction event with hall of guardians so I could get some Tiny Dancers which would help with my overall score. I'm at Hoard level 100, but I feel like that's not nearly enough for what would likely be 2-3x silencers and then the attack/lightstorm guy in single or duplicate.

Has anyone had any luck doing level 500 with the Hall of Guardians? If so, how?

Thanks plat! I was thinking it would take more, but I was out of treasure and was not willing to spend more until the next faction was out. Speaking of which...

Managed to beat the new delve, Primal Rift, with the Faction team at 500 in 4 tries. Probably the "easiest" so far skill-wise, but very mind numbing.

Green Golem's entangle on skull hit is amazing, but getting entangled in return is quite annoying. (understated)

MVP goes to Treant of all things though.

Team I used was Redthorn, Green Golem, Dark Dryad, Alderfather. (Riven Banner)

Redthorn and Dark Dryad died in room 1.

My treasure hoard is at 199 and my Alderfather survived the last room with 4 HP.

My Elemental pet and my Forest of Thorns pet are maxed, Faction pet was at Legendary.

Underworld, guild bonuses etc.

Test it at 100 and 200. It stays about the same difficulty-wise.

Used 3 Moranas, 1 Grave Seer in CK. Hoard level 205 with CK pet at Epic and one life bump from total faction renown. All troops Mythic and max Kingdom bonuses.

205 was a good breaking point for me b/c the stat bumps allowed any of my troops to survive (barely) one Spectral Knight cast, one Morana cast, or even a cast from each of them on the same troop. Two Morana casts or two Spectral Knight casts would still kill my own Morana.

The next breaking point would have been to get my troops to where they could survive two opponent Morana casts. I decided that was not necessary b/c I am not expecting the opposing Morana to cast a whole lot. Morana fuels on a medium-high 17 mana and I am already trying to fuel my own Moranas, so I am, by the nature of the deck, already playing in a way that helps deny mana to the opposing Morana.

I think if you decide to go for this in CK, you should consider pushing your horde level to where your troops hit breakpoints similar to what is described above. That level will be different based on your individual situation, but for me that optimal level was 205.

Good luck to those pursuing this bitch of an achievement and kudos to you, Final, for nabbing it first.

My team has some base-rarity mythics, so it might not be for everyone, but it's worked well so far in All-Seeing Eye:

Banner: Summer Banner (Bright Forest)
Champion of Anu (2 traits)
Arachnaean Weaver (1 trait)
Dark Maiden (at least 1 trait)
Desert Troll (no traits)

CoA is just a tank generally, unless I can get him powered up. DM helps to buff him if I can get her to cast. I focus on Green and Purple to power up AW. If there are none of those, then I do Brown to fill DT. Last, I'll do Yellow or Red, and avoid Blue if possible since I'm -1 on the banner.

At the level I'm delving, the AW generally one-shots enemies on the easier battles, exploding gems and almost refilling. So, I can sometimes cast repeatedly. Plus, webbing all enemies (that can be webbed) really helps reduce their casting effectiveness.

I probably should try subbing in Forest Troll since I've got +2 green from the banner, but I haven't done that yet.

Pretty much any team with 4 offensive spell users though, like the Viper Pit or whatever it's called, you're likely screwed.
Viper Nest isn't too bad with the CK faction, its the one I beat on my successful run. Its another one of those 2 threat rooms, Viper with Charm + damage and Fangblade with damage. I would kill them in that order.

Naga Queen seems menacing, giving their units 1,000 hp and such, but since Morana instakill, hp total doesn't matter. NQ will help you spawn a bunch of red mana.

Kill Venoxia before Naga Queen.

Venoxia is extremely menacing, especially when it inevitably reaches 1,000 atk, but as long as its not the last troop alive, it won't do more than 4 true damage per cast, while giving you blue mana you need to cast.

I would not volunteer the Viper Nest for the Sea of Sorrow faction in theory though, ooph.

I used both troop combinations for a while. I can understand both sites. I always tried to enter the last room with 4 moranas, letting the graveseer from the enemy team changing the colors to purple. You could take more skull damage, which would be super helpful if both magic attackers in room 3 are dead, you don't have to leave after your third morana is down and you steal a bit more attack.

Currently i do attempts with 1 Graveseer in my troop. It adds another luck based factor to your game, because if someone hits your Graveseer it helps to load up your Moranas. You can also obtain extra turns if you see that changing green tu purple gives a 4 or 5 gem combination, that could also lead to a small cascade that load up your Morana.

It's also a good thing to trigger big purple mana chains with your own troop, because otherwise the graveseer in room number 1 could loap up the many very quickly. In the second room you can take away green, maybe your enemy needs that color... and you can raise your deadly chance of course.

I guess each person have to decide for himself which benefits he prefer. I'll stick with Graveseer for the series of attempts, because i want to raise my chance for the deadly attack in room 2 and surving with all troop in this room giving me the most trouble. Maybe i switch over to 4 Moranas after some time... i don't know. =/

@MarekVit I've been grinding away All Seeing Eye and I've just started using this team:

Dragons Eye (Turns enemies into baby dragons)
Apothecary (Turn gems into brown for Dragons eye/High King)
Dryad (Create green gems for Apoth & heal/barrier an ally (Very useful for last room))
High King Irongut (Devours for fun)

The High King mythic makes this team easy mode as its devour chance is based on it's attack. With my current horde level I think he starts off with around 65 attack which is a favourable chance and as long as he hits once his attack should then be over 100 for guaranteed devour each time. All the All Seeing Eye troops can be devoured and if you come across a team in the middle room that has devour protection you just need to turn them into a baby dragon 1st.
After struggling at around level 200 I've gone up to the mid 300's since changing to this team (Don't think I've lost a delve)
I don't have the Titan class unlocked so don't have the luxury of barrier on brown matches but if you do then you might swap out Dryad for another support card.

tldr - High King Irongut is OP!

update: with the newest version this solution is a bit outdated and nearly useless. Now it is possible to buy potions during an event. You can buy the last potion a couple of times and increase your team stats until you be able to defeat level 500 with your faction team. This is way faster than increasing your hoard level that will take forever + the other potion effects will be also helpful. With other words: You can invest a big amount of gems to make this achievement so much easier.

Keep in mind a normal faction event only last 24 hours, so make sure you have the time to fight all the rounds to level 500 + have enough gems to buy enough delve rounds, because your potion bonus only last for this specific event and disappear afterwards.

I'm thinking about deleting my solution, but maybe some informations are still somehow useful?

outdated solution:
This guide gives you general information about the delve system, but all team and battle suggestions/advices are for completing the Crypt Keeper faction. Keep in mind they probably release easier to complete factions in the future that will not be covered here, because the solution is already long enough. I still hope to help you guys out and wish you the best of luck! Now let's start with the actual guide:

+++ INTRODUCTION +++
There are currently 6 factions and your goal for this achievement is to reach the highest renown in one of them. There are 4 criterias that you have to max out. You have to finish a level 500 delve with any team, without losses and with 4 faction cards. You also have to raise your hoard level to 100. The beat level 500 with faction cards is the hardest one and probably the last challenge you have to complete to max out your renown.

You start with faction level 20 and if you choose and win the fight at the right side you raise all dungeon levels by 10. Also setting up new level records during a faction event raise your dungeon level. There is no way to lower your dungeon level afterwards, so keep this in mind. To fullfil the criteria you only have to win 3 fights and in the high level area even these 3 fights are going to be brutal.

1. Setting up your Farming Dungeon
Choose a specific dungeon and make sure you stick to level 20 all the time. This allow you to rush through you daily delves without wasting more time than necessary. As a nice side effect this "easy mode" dungeon is also a great place to farm runic stones of a specific color. The only thing you want to max out is the quality level. It's also a good idea to pick a dungeon with the biggest possible amount of rooms, because this gives you one more chance to level up your chest at the end. The Hall of Guardians and the Sea of Sorrows as example have 9 rooms instead of 8. My suggestions is to use the Sea of Sorrows delve as farming dungeon, because it includes 4 potential colors of runic stones.

To improve the quality level you have to trade in treasures to level up your hoard. Each treasure have a upgrade quality chance. Example: Coin Purse = 5% Chance, Gold Ring = 10% Chance, Priest's Chalice = 20%. You can trade in 5 items at maximum and all of will raise up your chance. This means trading in 5 chalice items have a 100% chance to upgrade your quiality. However: You probably prefer to have 5 of the 20% chances to improve your level maybe more than once.

2. Collecting chaos shards
With your farming dungeon you obtain around 200 chaos shards each day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Of course this isn't the fastest method to collect shards by any means.

Faction events as example are a great way to make progress. They always start at level 20 + you benefit from your hoard bonus. With a good team and a huge stat bonus, it's possible to obtain many chests with a big reward multiplier. If you invest gems in the shop section, you buy more delve fights and treasures directly. So people with too much money could buy as much treasures as they want or can afford.

As i said before, faction events also raise your dungeon level permanently. So i'll ignore the faction event for the Sea of Sorrows (or whatever dungeon you picked to farm) to keep it at level 20.

3. Creating Teams
It's really important to have a perfect team that can handle fights in the high level area. Your teams are limited to the 2 faction colors. So you need more than 1 team to be able to benefit from several faction events. Mythic troops have 3 colors and a better chance to match with 1 of the required colors. So with more factions in the future it's probably possible to "recycle" some great troop combinations.

One other guide here on TA shows a video with a team that's really worth to get.
Dragons Eye was nerfed and now creates baby dragons with higher stats, but after some testing it seems to be still a pretty good team if you ask me!

These are the troops for a Crypt Keeper delve team:
Hero (Titan Class) > Dragons Eye + 10
Rock Troll
Ubastet
Yasmine's Chosen <*optional, not a must have troop, more info below*
could be replaced with: Megavore (8% insta kill chance), Queen Mab (freeze effect), Queen Titania (faery fire) or any card of your choice!

You can unlock the weapon with 250 wins with your dragon hero class.
Rock Troll is an epic troop you maybe already have.
Ubastet and Yasmine's Chosen are mythic troops. Both can be craftet for 4.000 diamonds, 20.000 souls and 10 celestial traitstones each. I'm one of the unlucky guys that needed both cards, but after crafting Ubastet i did it without Yasmine's Chosen. Trade in your diamonds for Ubastet first, because he is vital for this strategy!

strategy with this team:
Rock Troll load up your weapon and Ubastet and give you some board control and most likely a barrier for hero for matching brown gems. Your weapon transform an enemy to a baby dragon with 50% of these stats and let some gems explode, loading up your mana as well, Ubastet kills the baby dragon as soons as it's weak enough + another troop instant. Yasmines protects you from skull damage, but could be also replaced by other supporting troops. That's the short version.

It's important to use the titan class with at least level 70. The skill tree offers perks that raise your mana gain from brown stones with stone mastery. Storm Aura gives a chance to let brown stones appear in the begining of the fight. Rock solid gives you a barrier and protects you from damage. The last trait of this class also gives you 50% mana at the start. That gives you a faster chance to transform a dangerous enemy troop.

Ubastet attacks the 2 weakest units and if one of them die, the other one also gets destroyed. Dragons Eye was nerfed with the last title update. Before the update, the weapon created a baby dragon with pretty low stats that could be killed with ubastet in one hit. Now the baby dragon have 50% of the level the transormed card had. However... it's still super good for a couple of reasons.

First of all the new created baby dragon have no traits active and is way less dangerous than any normal troop you met durings this dungeon. Beside of killing the traits, you lower the level and stats by 50% AND the card start with 0 mana. That means you steal mana as well. You can't decide which card is transformed into a baby dragon, but if you hit the same card again you will lower there stats again. That means a level 500 turns into a level 250 baby dragon and the baby dragon can be transformed into a 125 baby dragon and so on!

The damage Ubastet do depends also on the attack value of the enemy teams and that's a great thing and makes it easier to kill a baby dragon, especialy if you fight against a team in the upper region. Rock troll doubles the amount of brown stones and spawn 3 more, loading up your weapon, Ubastet and Yasmine's Chosen. Try to combine red and purple before you touch any brown gems, except you have to refresh your barrier or you can match 4 or more brown gems before your enemy does that for you. Keeping up your barrier is important, especially without Yasmine in your troop.

Yasmine's Chosen have a trait that Entangle a random enemys when machting green stones and this can be pretty handy. The deadly effect from your Megavore card could be triggered by your stone troll... but i know not all of us have these troop cards and you don't need them to beat level 500, because the first 3 cards are strong enough! I just can't hurt to support them somehow.

Queen Mab as example could freeze your enemys, avoiding extra turns from your enemys. Queen Titiana put faery fire on your enemys and let deal you 50% more magic damage, helping Ubastet to kill a troop. I also tested cards like Xathenos. He is able to steal 50% magic and this can make some strong magic troops harmless, but his move end the loop and skull damage was my number reason for a messed up run anyway. If you haven't any of the cards, simply use one that creates brown stones as example.

This team is highly recommended to beat level 500 without losing a troop. Your faction team will far away from beeing that awesome. That leads us to step 4.

4. Raise your hoard level as high as possible
This is basicly the only thing you can do to make fights easier. The max level is 1000, but it would take way too long to max out your hoard level completly. I know the one thing we all want to know is: what's the minimum level we need with a faction to be able to beat level 500?

+++UPDATE+++MemoriesOfFinal said:
I did it at treasure hoard 193 which was a tad bit too early, but the stars aligned in the 2nd and 3rd room. At that number, 1st room usually wasn't a problem.
In my opinion your stats are more important than a specific level. Your Morana need at least 130 life points to be able to survive a true damage attack in room number 3 and 131 life points to be able to survive 2 hits from the knight in battle in battle 1. If you don't have this amount, the true damage attack will kill your troop in battle 3 with a single magic attack and this will lower your chance for a victory. I reached this goal with hoard level 222, but as you know there are many other factors like kingdoms that boost your stats. So you maybe need a higher or lower hoard level.

At some point you probably only use epic, legendary and mythic treasures to save some gold. I'm not sure about this, but be careful with the disenchant option at the troop section. Your mythic treasure also count as troop and if you have more than 4 you'll probably lose them with this option.

Needless to say you only should concentrate on one faction for the high end upgrading. As i said starting your fight with at least 131 lifepoints with Morana will make fights easier and i recommend to reach this goal, but even then you still need a huge amount of luck. I decided to continue to raise my hoard level even more to raise the chance to not lose a troop in the first battle.

With 131 lifepoints the knight in battle 1 would need to hit a troop 3 times with true damage to destroy, which should rarely happen. So if he attacks position 2, 3 and 4 and dies, your cards still have the armor amount to be protected. In worst case he attacks your troop in position 1 and raise the chance to lose it and you really want to start battle 2 with a full team.

5. The Road to Level 500
The fastest way to make progress is during a faction event, but with more and more factions that will be added to the underworld, it will take longer for a full rotation... and this raise up the time until the crypt keeper event shown up again.

The other method is simply using your daily delves, which isn't a bad idea if you clear all rooms with a x2 treasure multiplier. If you start losing troops switch over to the minimum amount of fights to clear the room. That doesn't give you much chaos shards, but at least some progress in case of winning.

I have to say with the team i posted above i was not that hard to accomplish. Luck have always a role in gems of war. You can be lucky if the first enemy is transformed to a baby dragon, reducing the potential skull damage... or if you transform a specific troop a couple of times in row, giving you a chance to kill a way stronger troop with Ubastet. In some rounds i had trouble to match up brown, giving the enemy a chance to destroy my hero without barrier. Or the enemys had a cascade with skulls and killing my hero even with a barrier. Stuff like this can happen, even with a great team. Just don't give up! You can do it! =D

In the video below i show you my level 500 run with hoard level 170.
Sorry, this Game Clip has been removed

Now it's time to move to the final step...

6. Beat Level 500 with your faction team
Here we go. The ultimate goal and the biggest and most frustrating challenge. I'm still working towards this achievement and at some point i'll manage to unlock it... hopefully. The possibilty to destroy a card depending on your luck is a great thing, because it ignores the crazy amount of life/shield from the enemy team. It only means you have to try it over and over... until you get really lucky... aaand i know. Luck based achievements are not cool, but at least there is a chance to be lucky!

After some test runs my recommended faction team is:
3 x Morana
1 x Graveseer

I also tested 4 x Morana teams and having a spare Morana is maybe a nice thing, but a Graveseer helps you during battle 2 to change the useless green gems to purple to make your Morana more deadly. Spectral Knight in battle 1 uses purple mana for his attacks and can be annoying. Make sure you transform green to purple before the enemy Graveseer used his spell and insa charged the knight.

I probably made thing harder than necessary for me, because i maxed out all troops and now grave seer cast the enchant effect on himself, because he will pick the strongest troop and he have better values than my morana. This means he need to be attacked to be able to cast the effect on the other cards.

My next advice is not tested, but worth a try: don't max out the level of your grave seer if you still have this option. If you keep him weaker than your morana, he should be able to enchant your moranas right away, giving you more chances to trigger a deadly attack.

Lady Morana have a nice 65% skull damage reduction skill, which gives you more time to execute your deadly attack. You also steal attack with your morana with 4 or 5 gem combination, this can also help to survive a little bit longer. Let cards without direct magic damage in front of the enemy team and destroy all troops below that card. With a bit drop luck you can steal enough attack to take the danger away.

The second room gives players the most trouble. Some of them are nearly impossible to beat, for other rooms you need luck. Awoo just posted an extrem helpful comment about the second room that can't be ignored.

Awoo said:
Impossible tier:
Lair of Shadows - Don't even try. You'll see why.
Graveyard team - Very hard because of the Spectral Knight and Keeper of Souls.
Dragon Hatchery - Everything does lots of damage and the egg can respawn babies.

Unlikely tier:
Worms - Possible with luck, but the Cockatrice is a major shithead.
Wild Pack - Very hard, but possible if you can take out their second troop quickly.
Scaled Court - The Lamias can stack charm damage really quickly, but possible to win if you take them out early.

Good tier:
Viper Pit - Venoxia is mostly harmless, focus on troop 1 and 3 and then clean up.
Dwarven Gate - Try to keep them from getting brown and yellow, their blue should be hogged mostly by their first troop. Take out whichever of the attacking dwarves that get closest to filling their mana, then clean up the rest.
Coral Cave - The best team by far. Take out troop 3, then 4, then it should be easy to outlast the remaining two.
Gate Guardians - Dangerous but doable. Take out troops 4 and 1 quickly, then let the anubis dude spawn a harmless baby gate while you take care of the actual gate and Clean up the rest.
In the last room spectral knight deal a lot of true damage to your cards. So take him down first. Afterwards take care of Lady Morana and with both cards down, only 2 supportes are left... with skull damage as your biggest risk. 3 moranas could be able to absorb long enough this kind of damage + you could try to lower the amount with your stealing effect. This is just a theory, because starting with a full team rarely happens.

Last but not least i want to show you a clip from Hohe69 of his successful run with his delve team.

I don't want lie to you. This achievement is going to be frustrating and unfair. I currently have hoard level 240 and sometimes i even lose a troop in the very first room, or losing all cards in the second room. If you sick of losing keep collecting shards and raise your hoard level. This will lower your required luck, but can be expensive and boring. If you don't give up, you will unlock this achievement sooner or later.

+++ ENDING +++
That's all for now. We will see if they include more ways to collect chaos shards in the future. I want to thank anyone who contributed to this solution. Special thanks@MemoriesofFinal for all the early informations and clarifications in the comment section, Awoo for the part with the rooms and his advice in the forum section and last but not least Hohe69 for allowing me to use his game clip of his successful faction team run.

I've opened a level 10 delve chest. I received 175 Chaos shards.
Rewards may vary depending on your hoard quality level

Was thinking Grave Seer to make purple to increase the chance of Lady Morana's slaying the opponents. Would still be tough AF to be honest. Increasing horde level until the team could withstand hits may take forever.

Wow. Thank you so much for your input. I can't believe the gems master himself left a comment. ;3

The stack to steal 6 attack is definitelly a nice thing. At least it can help to survive a little bit longer, as you said.

You did it with hoard level 193? Awesome. That should be a good reachable goal for all of us + there is still much room above this level for all players who wants a bigger stat boost.

128 true damage sounds evil. So with other words you have to take him down as soon as possible. x_x

Thought I'd let ya know something that I only recently discovered and that is if you have a Major Orb of Ascension, you can use that to fully level up a Hero Class to get it's weapon, such as that Dragon's Eye. It doesn't pump up the Skills or anything, but let's you skip the 250 matches needed to unlock it.

Turns out Sea of Sorrow is a lot worse than I expected. 4 forced rooms instead of 3 and a really annoying boss room. One missed cast of your Sea Witch and it is pretty much over. Bumped up my hoard from 100 to 141 to try to beat Delve 300 with the faction team and it felt like it did nothing to help. 15+ attempts and I couldn't do it. Gave up since I kept getting Rock Worms every single time. The Sea of Sorrow faction team is somewhat slow and has no way to focus fire to quickly kill a dangerous target, so anything that hits hard destroys the team. Cyclops, Rock Worm, Ice Worm, Lady Ironbeard, Dark Monolith etc. etc

Magic from increasing the Hoard Level doesn't scale well (+9 for every 100 treasure hoard level), so anything that doesn't scale to the enemy just doesn't work well.

In any faction event, you can pay gems to get as many sigils as you need to keep progressing upwards. Those sigils last the duration of the event.

Thanks. So I guess that means that you can purchase the final tier multiple times? I've never tried purchasing that one. The other ones you can only purchase once. Got my Crypt Keepers hoard up to 149, but still have never won the 2nd battle. cry

My hoarde level is 177. The closest I got on Floor 500 was the final battle, but when I went in, I was left with two troops. Needless to say there was no chance.

The second battle seemed to be the killer.

I finally made it to the 3rd battle tonight, but I only had one Lady Morana left and died in about 30 seconds, although I did take out the enemy Lady Morana. So close, yet so far away!

If I don't have Ubastet and Yasmine's Chosen What would be comparable replacements

By kingrich06 on 24 Oct 2018 03:52
Ubastet is rather crucial because of the instant double kill once a baby dragon spawns.

Megavore would be a nice choice to replace Yasmine's Chosen but I supposed most people won't have it too.

I used Arch Weaver since I don't have Yasmine's Chosen and Megavore. :D I use it as an additional tank. It also webs all enemies, so it becomes a good troop to limit Spectral Knight's magical attack after you kill off Lady Morana.

Ubastet was critical, and the suggested team used to be effective - but the devs nerfed the Dragon Eye weapon. The baby dragon it brings in is now still sufficiently high enough level to kill your troops, and is nowhere near an insta-kill with Ubastet. Time to find a new troopset.

Highest level delved - 1,000 points
Highest level delved with faction units -500
Horde level -500 points
Highest level delved without casualties -500 points

About that, can anybody please tell me which is the exact horde level in which the 500 points are awarded?

Level 500... 10 points for each level. The 1000 points one give you 20 points for each level.

I beat the Fangblade, Tai-Pan, Viper, Venoxia during my actual Crypt Keeper faction delve 500 run. The Dragon room is the easiest for many of the factions, but is a massive pain in the butt for Crypt Keepers.

211 is probably a pretty unreasonable hoard level for most, including me. That extra hit survived from Shithead Knight in battle 3 would be amazing, but hardly necessary to win. As long as you manage to take that cunt out quickly enough, you have a good chance of winning even with three troops. Just gotta pray the Morana doesn't sit there and tank hits from your own Moranas, as she unfortunately tends to do. Nothing more fun than seeing the Knight or Morana take like 5+ Morana spells in battle 3 and still not fucking die. Meanwhile the AI Morana seems to have like a 90% instakill chance regardless of purples on the board...

And like I've said before, the Coral team in battle 2 is by FAR the easiest to beat, followed by Viper Pit and the dwarf team.

Thanks for your addition and congratulation! For surviving two hits from knight in the first room you need at least 131 life points with your troop btw. I'm currently at hoard level 240 and it's easier to survive with all troops, but still not a guarantee, especially if the spectral knight weakens your first troop.

Today i reached Viper Pit 2 times. One of the runs ended at the final battle that i started with only 2 troops. I had no chance. I have no idea at which point of this year i will unlock this achievement. >__<

but i don't give up and continue to raise my hoard level with faction events, using my daily delves for another attempts. I'm probably not the only one who start to getting a bit frustrated about the unfair fights. ;/

Finally I did IT. 4x Lady Moralna, delve level 207 headspin

Coral team in 2nd room, I killed 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 1st. Last room. 2nd, 1st, 4th, 3rd.

I lost only 1 Lady Morana in 2nd room. You need to have your troop's life over 131 to survive 2 hits from the Spectral Knight on the 1st room. Rest is only skulls and a lot of luck & skill.

I did it in about 60-70 tries.

@Kelle1994
The reward depends on the multiplier at the end. You have a bigger multiplier if you pick the right most fight that raise your current delve level.

@neeker75
That's the purpose of Grave Steer. The one you fight against in the final battle also helps your own Morana... at least with the increased chance. The enemy team have 260 attack power in the final fight. With Moranas 65% skull reduction you receive around 90 damage per hit. So with 100 level ups you can take an extra hit.

The biggest problem is probably the magic damage they deal to you. We can be glad that not the whole team have to survive. If you have 3 Moranas as example, you can take several skull damage hits before you lose all of them. However... you probably lose a troop through magic damage easily.

The ultimate goal is to trigger the deadly effect 4 times, before all Moaranas are gone. You need to be REALLY lucky in so many ways... like having a big chain to load up your mana + triggering the deadly effect each attack. I think everything needs to be perfect.

Quick notes on some of the room 2 teams for Crypt Keepers:

Can anyone share any pure faction teams for each faction?

I got lucky and did Crypt Keepers at horde 167 with 4x Morana after having no luck using 3x LM + grave seer. Now looking to finish off other factions to max.

My tips and how I got this:

I chose Crypt Keepers and boosted treasure hoard for this faction until I hit a certain point. That point might be different for you as it depends on your stats. The most important stat here is your health. That is because you should have enough health for your troops to survive 2 hits from Spectral Knight in the first battle and 1 hit from the same troop in the final battle. That helps a LOT. For me this point was treasure hoard level 211. You can boost the level more but it starts to get very expensive and you should use only the 2 most valuable treasures towards the end (maybe 3 if you have a lot of money).

I used 3 x Lady Morana and 1 x Grave Seer (last slot).

First battle: First take out Spectral knight, then Nightshade and then Grave Seers as last troops. You should have all of your troops alive. I would repeat if I lost even one.

Second battle: Now the second battle is the trickiest as it changes every time. Back out of the current delve until you have the battle you want (this could take days). Luckily you can see the upcoming battles when you enter the selve. My recommendation is to try Viper Pit. Two of the troops are mostly harmless if the AI does not get a s***load of skulls as they sometimes tend to do... (too often in my opinion). But that applies to any battle as skulls do a LOT of damage, especially if Morana gets stunned. Anyways, first take out Viper, then Fangblade, then Venoxia and Naga Queen as a last. You should have 3-4 troops when you enter the last battle. Two is nearly impossible and requires a huge amount of luck. I survived with all of my troops alive when I entered the last battle (I think this was the only or maybe second time this happened out of numerous tries).

Last battle: First take out Spectral Knight. As I said earlier, your troops should be able to get hit by Spectral Knight one time, otherwise you are wasting your time because most likely you are going to get hit. Second one to take out is Morana, then Nightshade and Grave Seer as last one.

I was super lucky and had two of my troops alive, Morana and Grave Seer. Lucky delving!

I'm not sure how well a x3 Morana and x1 Grave Seer team would work.

I'm also not sure if a Valraven could replace a vital unit during the final fight to make this fight easier during the faction event.
Valravens can replace vital units during a fight, but it happens so infrequently that its best not to count on it to happen. Besides, the explosion that it does can actually be a very bad thing for survival.

Lady Morana steals 2 attack from the 1st enemy and with 3 of them on the team, you'll steal 6 attack on each 4/5 match. The more extra turns you do, the longer they'll live from skull attacks lol.

I used Grave Seer because the Epic Room in the middle typically has no way to spawn Purple Gems once gone. Its bit problematic, especially when you get used to the 1st room's 2 Grave Seer's constantly casting. The enchant helps in this 1 room.

Worth noting: 1st Room Spectral Knight does 65 True Damage, 130 True Damage if something has a status effect (2 of 3 Nightshade status effects or your own Grave Seer Enchant lol). 3rd Room Spectral Knight does 128 True Damage.

Those are the breakpoints I'd build around in my opinion. I did it at treasure hoard 193 which was a tad bit too early, but the stars aligned in the 2nd and 3rd room. At that number, 1st room usually wasn't a problem.

Sea of Sorrow comes out next Friday and my early estimate is that doing the Delve 500 Faction team is possible but unpleasant. Should be fun to figure out what that translates into.

500 points for Horde Level is awarded at Horde Level 100. Anything above that won't be added.

I'm glad I reached Delve Level 500 before Dragon's Eye was fixed. I'm having no luck at all for the Faction Units battles at 500 though. My Horde Level is 200. The first battle is usually easy unless I get a poor starting board, but I can't survive beyond the second team. Almost every enemy in the second team are tough. You either get an iron team with Dwarven Armor (gives allies barrier) and Lady Ironbeard (which will insta kill you because triple damage if her armor is higher, which is always the case - you've to hope that Lady Morana insta kills BOTH of them before they cast, talk about the luck of the devil), or some random troops that deal 120 true damage (that's paired up with Dwarven Armor). Even the supposedly easiest dragon teams will one or two shot you.

Very frustrating achievement. Unless I've a lot of cash to sink into gems to continuously buy cards during faction events to level up my horde, I don't see myself unlocking this achievement ever.

with the newest update.. you can now save up gems or "buy" this achievement. they have now added potions to the factions events.

the last potion will cost you 200 gems but you can buy it as many times as you like. this will add 7 points to all skills. if you spend 2000 gems on this, you can add 70 points to each level on top of what your horde bonuses are already at. it'll cost you about 1100 gems just to get to the power potion level.

so if you want to go down this route. pick the faction you are strongest in, wait for that factions event and keep buying the last potion as much as you want or can afford. then play that event until you get to level 500 then use only that factions troop and that's it.

you still need to max out all other categories in renown but his will make the pure faction much much much easier.

also, factions event only last 1 day and the potions are only for the event so you'll have to do it all within a day. I suggest concentrating on the 500 renown for pure faction. other categories can be done at any time。 if you miss your chance, you'll have to wait for the faction you choose to come around again and spend more gems for those power potions.

faction events start you at level 20. you'll have to grind your way but if you're buying lots of power potions, you'll have more than enough sigils. I suggest you use a pure team asap. just go from the first 2 rooms and then boss mythic room. don't worry about he other rooms if you want to be fast.

easy now isn't it?

This coincided with the Silver Necro faction introduction, so that gave me 3 days to do this. The problem is that I've been very busy, I just hit level 250. Going from level 20 to 500 in one day will definitely be a challenge.

I just beat level 500 with the non faction team, so at least I can now try 3 times a day with the faction team till the next event. My guild has also been going hard the past week. Got 500 gems today in my rewards, so I should have enough by then.

This is probably the easiest way now. If you have enough gems and the week's event happens to coincide with your best delve team then it's going to be your easiest road to the achievement. I was focusing on the Crypt Keepers method originally and with a 230+ hoard and all mythic troops the only sucky part will be trying to go from 20 to 500 in a day.

For those who are waiting for Crypt Keepers, it'll be out this week.

It's probably my best chance to get it. Unfortunately my Grave Seer is already at Level 20. I'm thinking of disenchanting it completely to remove it from my troops, and re-buying it to lower his level.

It did not work for me! I did reach 2000 renown in 3 factions lvl 500. Once event came in it give me none any more. Even with the new faction in this week (started 28 Aug 2020) I did reach lvl 500 and then played the faction again with no luck.

Well, I needed that many because my hoard was not built up. I think I did my run with the hoard @ level 45 or so. 1000 may be enough for you. However, you have to worry about having enough sigils. You will need at least 50 if you don't lose any battles to make it through the whole delve.

Luckily, I haven't had to use gems in a while and my guild activities resulted in about 15K gems over the last few months. Came in pretty handy. I'm sure you'll get it Matt, just set aside 8-9 hours that day to go through all those battles.

This is not as bad as Astaroth. laugh

I just wanted to add two things to these solutions.

1. The video attached shows a great team at level 500.

2. When you finish the delves, you will be rewarded enough pets to get the pet achievement, That is a huge savings on resources if you plan to do both.

While there are quite a few guides for this achievement, none of them are particularly recent, and none of them are particularly straightforward about the easiest faction to do this on.

I am going to add some basic information about this achievement to this guide, but by now most of you will already know this and just want to skip to the information about which faction to choose and what teams to use, so I will put the basic information in a spoiler tag for those interested to click on:

Basic Information:

Methods to increase your delve stats:

The faction I ultimately did this on was The Deep Hive, which I strongly recommend for this achievement. It took me 4 attempts to complete pure faction with only treasure hoard 100 and only kingdom level 11 (which does not provide any faction stats bonus) and a faction pet multiplier of 2.5X. I did this outside of a faction event so I did not have the benefit of potions.

Here are the teams I used to get up to 500 (non faction):

Mountain Crusher (Hero Weapon, Titan Class)
Forrest Troll
King Gobtruffle
King Gobtruffle
+2 green, +1 brown banner.

I personally have Titan level 100, which makes your life easier because of the final trait, but it is not required to get this team rolling. It does make it go faster however. The hero traits I used were Impact, Counterattack, Stone Circle, Storm Aura, Rock Solid, Bloodthirsty, and Lord of Storms.

This is a team that you should have virtually zero issues will all the way up to the mid 400s and only at that point will you occasionally run into some trouble. I switched one of the Gobtruffles for Queen Beetrix on the last couple levels because I had run into a couple issues with status effects on my troops screwing me over, which Beetrix's third trait solves. Overall substituting Beetrix in for one of the Gobtruffles is also a very strong team but in my view makes it a little more likely you will run into jams, but also more likely to get out of them.

Ok, now for the more difficult team, pure faction. If you want to maximize your stats, you should consider increasing the kingdom level for Drifting Sands to 12 or 14 for the extra stats. Also, don't forget to level up the faction pet for a team bonus. The pure faction team I went with was:

Scarab Knight
Queen Beetrix
Queen Beetrix
Queen Beetrix
+2 green +1 blue banner

It took me four attempts with this team, 3 of which I reached the final room, so this is not that bad. I didn't have most of the stat increases as described above and my Scarab Knight and Beetrix were only legendary, not mythic. The worst part about this team is getting mana for your Beetrix. The Scarab Knight blocks them on green, which is frustrating but overall worth it for the barrier it can constantly replenish. My best advice is to get at least 2 Beetrix ready to cast before you cast your first so they can help each other gain mana. If you keep at it you will eventually get it, possibly faster than me if you increased your horde level higher than 100 or leveled up your kingdom to 12 or 14. Good luck!

There are 6 guides for this achievement. Most are old and have not been kept up to date. The Crypt Keeper faction is HARD those solutions should be deleted! The hardest part of maxing a faction is defeating it with a pure faction team. Only 1 of these guides recommends the easiest faction to max. Calling it 'easiest' is fact, not opinion.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT:

- get 2500 faction renown points.

the total points are divided into 4 categories. Here's the requirements to max all 4

- beat delve level 500
- beat delve level 500 with no casualties
- beat delve level 500 using only faction troops
- treasure horde level 100

The only category I'm going to give a strategy for is beating level 500 with the faction team. Its the hardest requirement.

If you need help with the other categories, check out VegaDark541's guide. My guide is basically just going to echo his to back him up since the other 5 guides are outdated and incorrect. VegaDark's is 100% on the money, has a low rating, and is hidden. Just like this guide!

The Easiest Faction: The Deep Hive

These are the faction teams you want to use:

Scarab Knight
Queen Beatrix
Queen Beatrix
Queen Beatrix

- OR - (if your scarab knight keeps dying)

Scarab Knight
Scarab Knight
Queen Beatrix
Queen Beatrix

Banner: anything that gives + green and + blue

Obviously: buy all the traits and level up both troops as much as you can.

despite nerfs, the Queen Beatrix troop is still so broken, its entirely possible to wipe out a delve level 500 in a single turn just by using its ability over and over.

other tips:

use the pure faction team at delve level 300. When you get to faction level 500, you'll get the faction pet and be able to level it to 15. This will give the pure faction team a tiny buff

this is also the easiest way to get a pet to level 20 for that achievement.

Upgrade your kingdoms as high as you can. They provide +1 to a stat every 5 levels. The first 10 levels only require gold to upgrade.

Kingdoms that provide + magic:
Darkstone
Blighted Lands
Zhul'Kari
Karakoth
Silverglade

EDITED 8/31/2022 With updated additional solution with update 6.3:

A combination of a guide but also a precaution:

This achievement is unlocked by reaction 2500 reknown on one faction. This is achieved by beating level 500 on a faction with that faction's troops (that is troops that are from that faction), with no casualties, and having a treasure hoard of at least level 100.

Highest level successfully delved: 1000 Reknown
Highest level successfully delved with faction troops: 500 Reknown
Highest level successfully delved with no casualties: 500 Reknown
Treasure hoard level of 100 or higher: 500 Reknown

Once all four of these criteria are met, the achievement unlocks.

There are three ways to get this.

SOLUTION ONE (NOT RECOMMENDED): The first is to build up your treasure hoard high enough to increase troop stats enough to beat level 500. However I strongly advise against this method. First off, it is incredibly expensive and it will interfere with gathering the 16+million gold needed for the "Team Synergy" achievement. And two, I raised a factions treasure hoard to 218 and still kept getting wiped out in the first room, hence I gave up on this method altogether. Also it gets extremely EXPENSIVE especially when the treasure hoard gets above level 200. There's also the unfortunate instances of getting puny Coin Purses which are practically useless (I'm not spending 221,000 gold on five garbage coin purses that won't even go halfway between levels) at higher hoard levels. Hence, I'd limit spending gold on treasure hoards except for getting treasure hoard levels to 100. Levelling up beyond that will no longer add faction reknown to your stats.

If you want to go ahead and spend gold leveling up treasure hoards beyond level 100, by all means go for it but if you're going for "Team Synergy", I'd be very careful with doing this. This method is immensely time-consuming, and immensely expensive (in terms of gold) and there's no guarantee even a King's Crown will raise your treasure hoard level. Finally, as I said earlier, your treasure hoard could raise your faction troops' states by 70+ and you'll still have a good chance of getting wiped out in room one, and ending a delve with nothing to show for it.

SOLUTION TWO (RECOMMENDED):

The second solution, which has been mentioned is much much easier, with one caveat. This second solution is through Faction Assault events which are every four to five days. They automatically start at level 20 and if you complete all rooms in a single delve, you will get a Treasure Chest of at least level 4 or 5 and will offer you chaos shards. If you unlock enough shards, you can open portals to unlock faction troops and/or treasure troops. These come in six versions, Coin Purse (Piece of Garbage), Golden Ring (Limited Usefulness at high levels), Priest's Chalice (Ok, not great at higher treasure hoard levels), King's Crown (Decent), Genie's Lamp (Very valuable), and Sacred Treasure (Save at least five of these for treasure hoard leveling).

Also during this event, you can vastly increase your faction troops' stats by buying potions with gems and increasing your troops' stats high enough to take on much higher levels, especially level 500 with pure faction troops.

The hard part is gathering enough gems to buy these power-ups. Just getting to the Potion of Power will cost at least 1100 gems but every time you buy it, it increases your troops' stat by 7! If you buy enough Potions of Power, you can increase your troops' stats high enough to easily beat level 500! Some say that you can achieve this with as few as 2100 gems but each faction may vary depending on skills and troop preference. I saved up at least 3600 gems over the course of a month.

It cost me at least 3300 gems to increase my troops' stats high enough in the Illithia Faction Assault (Ended on July 26, 2020) event to beat level 500 with the faction's troops. Even then, I found myself in situations where the gems/skulls just didn't line up correctly and I lost a troop or two above level 450! Still, if you buy enough potions of power, this achievement becomes much, much, much, MUCH easier to unlock. It's still pretty difficult to unlock due to the circumstances of gems/skulls not lining up right but it's far easier than spending millions of gold on leveling up treasure hoards and still getting decimated early on.

SOLUTION THREE (You decide if you want to go this route)

With the newest update as of a week ago, a third route is now possible. It is to me, like a combination of the first two solutions I originally posted. The first was saving up enough gems to buy enough potions of power to boost your stats enough to beat level 500 with pure factions. These potions can now be used on regular delves depending on treasure hoard levels.

You unlock potions starting with the following:

1. Enchantment (fills your mana up once at the start of battle, only works once per battle)
Unlocked at Hoard Level 100

2. Explosions (explodes random gems at the start of battle, only works once in that battle),
Unlocked at Hoard Level 105

3. Rejuvenation (heals 3 damage at the start of each turn),
Unlocks at Hoard Level 115

4. Armor (Shields you with extra armor),
Unlocked at Hoard Level 130

5. Blessing (Blesses all allies),
Unlocked at Hoard Level 150

6. Shielding (gives all troops a barrier at the start of battle, works only once and will not regenerate during that battle. Will work at the next battle)
Unlocks at Hoard Level 175

7. Power (adds 7 stats to each of your troops ability including +7 attack, +7 magic, +7 armor, +7 life. They stack on top of each other so multiple potions will add onto each other)
Unlocks at Hoard Level 200...

Please note that additional Power potions unlock every 25 hoard levels beyond 200 so hoard level 225 will add another potion of Power on top of your first to add another 7 stats to each, so 225 will add 7+ stats on top of whatever bonus stats you already have from raising the treasure hoard already.

This can help a lot with factions that are very difficult to complete with pure faction troops (Frostfire Keep, Fang Moor) but if you're willing to spend a lot of gold to get your faction treasure hoard to 200 and/or above, these potions can make factions much easier to complete, or at least get much further ahead than previously possible.

If a given faction is on a 'New' Faction Assault Event, you can also unlock a 'Deep Delve' which costs 2 delve attempts and 10,000 gold and it gives you a major boost for that attempt.

This, in addition to potions already activated can help even further with beating a faction level more easily than it was previously. Keep in mind though that potions unlocked on a faction during that factions assault even will disappear once the event is over. The potions you unlock from raising your treasure hoard though are yours to keep forever. They're also limited to just that particular faction. They don't carry over to other factions (A potion of power on a level-225 Fang Moor cannot carry over to a lower-leveled faction such as a level-131 Hall of Guardians faction) and are limited to just that one faction. If you want to use potions on other factions, you'll have to raise that faction's treasure hoard levels to unlock them there.

As mentioned on solution one, raising your treasure hoard gets incredibly expensive especially beyond hoard level 100 and can take huge chunks of gold out of your gold reserves so be very careful with this if you're trying to go for the "Team Synergy" achievement but if you already have that achievement, feel free to spend gold to your hearts content getting additional potions especially power potions.

Good luck!

P.S., SOLUTION TWO is also very useful in going for the "I have Many Leather-Bound Books" and "My Kingdom Smells of Rich Mahogany" achievements for the 20000 and 30000 total known respectively and if you're far enough in the game, even the "Well, I'm Very Happy For You" for 40000 reknown, and even "By The Beard of Zeus!" for 50000 reknown could be within reach too! And even if some factions cause trouble, SOLUTION THREE is useful for advancing much further on pure faction runs on factions, even more difficult ones.

For any faction in the Underground, the maximum possible renown is 2500. This is split between four categories, though three are all basically linked together.

You will need to complete a Delve at Level 500 using only factions troops, and with no deaths. Now, these two things don't need to happen at the same time, meaning you could beat it at 500 with factions troop but have a death, then use your own team to beat it with no deaths. Either way, this is no joke, and you will need to have an extremely high character level, excellent hero weapon, powerful troops, and a very big Treasure Hoard for bonuses to your stats. I would suggest reading this thread for tips on how to farm the delves and complete Level 500. You will get 2000 total renown for this step (1000 for Level 500, 500 for using faction troops, and 500 for no deaths).

The other requirement is to max out your Treasure Hoard, which is something that will happen much sooner than the above step. See "Scrooge McMoa" for tips on doing that. You will get 500 renown for this step.

IMPORTANT! Before update 4.2, you cannot get the trophy due to a technical bug in the game! But I advise you to make the conditions for the trophy because the bug with the spectral knight will also be fixed; anyway, after the update, the trophy will appear after entering the dungeon information screen in the list of rewards, or with increasing the level of the treasury, or, as an extreme option, completing room 500 with any squad. And now for the trophy itself, I recommend a treasury level of 250+ because there is an opportunity to survive after the second shot of the spectral knight, the second difficulty is to pump up the treasury, it is better to do this during events (not counting the daily battles on the “farm” of fragments, for me it was a sea of sadness with a low level), I personally chose the strategy of accumulating crystals and purchasing for them rewards during the tomb guardians event, I spent shards in the guard hall because... Personally, I got the most valuable treasures there (upgrading a dungeon after level 180 with a treasure below the crown is unprofitable), a team of 3 Lady Moranas and a grave sage (the right guy who allows you to control the purple mana needed to increase the percentage of quick kills when Morana shoots) banner red +2 yellow +1, pet Minito Mori 2.75 increase in tomb guardians. The first room, as a rule, can be completed without any problems, destroying the knight, belladonna and 2 grave sages in exactly this order, the second room is more difficult; at the beginning it kills those who can cause damage with magic, and then the rest, the third room is the knight, Morana, belladonna, and sage. Sooner or later you are a winner and don’t forget that you can win even with one Moranna (almost like me), bring the attempt to the end, and now a video with my passage of 2 and 3 rooms of the tomb guardians with the faction team, enjoy watching https://youtu .be/9OwbfS0Nznw

A short video with the passage of level 500 of the tomb guardians, passed with treasury level 166, a titan class team (with a mandatory shield when collecting brown stones) with weapons dragon eye, stone troll, adze, Queen Mab, did not experience any special problems in passing. Unfortunately, getting the trophy after the last update has become more difficult and the eye of the dragon does not work as before, but reduces the level of the dragon by half; as an alternative, you can take the shredder. A team to get fame points with the dungeon team, Lady Morana 3 pieces and a grave sage, because Lady Morana has the ability to instantly kill, the estimated level of the treasury is 230+, but on foreign forums there are people who passed with the treasury 193+ https: //youtu.be/GX46bX8S2Wk .
