How to unlock the Keeping up with the Krakens achievement in Gems of War - Definitive Guide

Really simple. Just buy the different items in the collection section in the chat menu or earn them in the events and thru normal game play.

buy the titles - they're only 20 gems each, there's a suprising amount of them, i was on 80%ish when this went live, and finally got it today :)

I don't understand this one bit. I can't even access chat, whenever I try to connect it just does nothing. Nobody is actually explaining what this is...

I'm 72% there according to my achievement tracker but I still have no idea what to do.

These were only introduced quite recently, but there are usually 6+ to earn each week, more available from leveling up kingdoms, beating lvl 100 delves for each region, hitting player level milestones, up to 1,000 - I had 98% when this patch went live, and my guild and I will finish this week's raid in a day or so and it will be the last 1-2 I need. But yes there are hundreds available for 50 gems.

With all the updates and additions to this game, this achievement has become way easier, though I will try to break it down as best I can regardless.

A social item, and yes I know its in the description, is for emojis, portraits and titles.
By hitting cn_back (Typically called the back button) You are shown a screen with Chat options, directly under that Collection. All three social item locations are here. By going into each tab, you can see what is required to unlock an item from their respective lists (Either a task, event, or paying gems)

Titles are typically gained either by finishing a towns questline, or are bought with gems.

Outside of gems, Portraits are gained in two ways, by hitting milestones (Hitting level 50, raising a town to level 10), and are also usually given during events such as a tower battle guild event. For said example, the first few rewards for, say, your guild destroying 50, 100, 200 towers, usually gives trait stones, gold, souls ect, with around level 5 or 6 giving a portrait.

(An event such as a campaign (Where you level up an artifact) will also reward titles or portraits, but I must point out usually those go solely to people who purchase the pass for said current campaign.)

Emoji packs are either purchasable or handed out during special events, such as the yearly "Canada day".

Special days such as a day during Shark Week, Canada Day, Valentines ect will also sometimes have titles or portraits as well. These are either handed out for free like a flash deal (Those annoying "2$ for 10$ worth of cards or gems ect) or are earned in a special event/game.

In short you have two ways of doing this. You can slowly grind it out as you go towards other achievements, as any of the three add to your title, or you can simply buy them with gems. The cheapest titles are around 20 gems.

A "fast" way to gain gems is either to be in a decent level guild that will buy the gems in their weekly guild events (Buying gems, keys, petfood ect, that raise statue levels) or for daily adventure quests, where at first you are tasked with things such as raising the level of a town to level, say, 2, 3, 5, but later ends with you simply killing 100 troops for around 20 gems.

This is a grind, but isn't really too difficult if you play even semi-regularly. Logging in even every few days will give you a chance to earn progress towards this.
If I have missed anything, or anyone has an addition to this guide, I will gladly add to it. Until then;

Happy hunting (>*_*)>
