How to unlock the Olympus Has Fallen achievement in Gems of War - Definitive Guide

UPDATE (February 26, 2018): Guild Wars is now one of three alternating events (Guild Wars, Raid Boss, Invasion). This makes this achievement only obtainable during one of the three week period.

(For this achievement your guild needs to be registered for the particular week's Guild War.)

Each day, you have five battles against a guild. (Find them under the Attack tab in the Guild Wars section in Guild)

The first battle is against a random "soldier"
If you win, the second battle is against a "vanguard"
if you win, the third battle is against a "herald"
If you win, the fourth battle is against a "champion"
If you win, the final battle is against a "paragon"

The achievement will unlock upon winning the fifth battle. (Originally there was a bug that gave you the achievement even if you lost to the paragon. This has now been fixed, it seems.)

If you are fighting a small guild, you might fight the same opponent multiple times.

If you lose a battle, you can't win the achievement that day, but you can try again the next day.

Just play with your favorite team and you'll get lucky, sooner or later.

If you're really struggling (which might happen if you are in a guild with a lot of advanced players - you will be teamed up with more advanced guilds), you can try leaving your guild and starting a new one. The first week will probably be the easiest. There will be a lot of newbie guilds to fight.

If you're looking for tips on best teams, check discussion on the Internet, e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/app/329110/discussions/0/62071236...

You can slightly improve your odds by purchasing bonuses for each week's war in the Sentinels tab. It is costly and only valid for a week. It might be a better idea to invest in your troops, leveling up kingdoms etc.

It does not work if you win the first 4 battles and then retreat from the last one...

Can I miss one battle day (5 battles unused), so I could use 10 tries on the next day?
This would improve my chances, if possible.

No, that doesn't make sense :-P because everyday you are fighting against another guild. so it would be unfair for the last guild on sunday to save your matches. I am sure that this is not possible.

I think that's because you only get to fight the paragon if you win the first 4 matches.

ok...then you are right. But this is really strange. clap so it should be possible to get the "all battles" cheevo with only playing on sunday. Crazy crazy....

Then all new update cheevos are really easy when you have so much chances to get to the paragon. But for me, that is not a guild war...

I'm in a good guild right and I'm just getting wrecked by the second or third battle. Unless I leave I don't think I'll ever get this achievement. Everyone is using the worst combos known to man haha

Update from me. I just won 4 and lost 1 and did NOT get the achievement. So they must have fix it already.

I lost the second one and won the rest. When I beat the fourth I expected the achievement and nope.

I think people above are saying you have to go 4-0 and battle the Paragon. Once you fight him, you can win or lose and still get the achievement. If you lose earlier on, you won't get a chance to fight the Paragon.

(Yeah, you have to go 4-0. I got absolutely smoked by my fifth opponent and the achievement unlocked after I lost.) Exactly. It did happen to me too.

I got lucky today. I destroyed first 4 battles and then I got destroyed within 2 turns on the paragon fight. Got the achievement though

I got super lucky, ended up fighting the same guy 4 times (my troops stomped him each time), before fighting a different person for the final battle

It popped for me last night, i have only been in 1 guild since I started ,I beat all 5 opponents I think a lot of it will be dropping lucky on a weaker guild as already mentioned, just persevere with it! Good luck

I agree with thinking this has been fixed. Got excited as I finally got to a Paragon fight for the first time. Nearly won, but worst of all, no achievement cry

It didn't unlock at all for me after beating the paragon. Buggy in the opposite way now.

Edit: it did unlock but I had no achievement pop on the screen.

Due to a programming error, you currently do NOT need to beat the Paragon. This is just like the problem they had with the achievement in the previous TU:
Gems of WarChampion of PvPThe Champion of PvP achievement in Gems of War worth 40 pointsReach PvP tier 1 in a single week

That achievement unlocks when you reach Rank 2, not Rank 1.

If you beat the first four, after your match against the Paragon, even if you lose, the achievement unlocks. You still do need to beat the first four in a row and then attempt the fight against the Paragon. But the achievement seems to unlock after that battle, win or lose.

III Torpedo III - http://community.gemsofwar.com/t/console-3-0-patch-notes/239...

"Attack Tab
BATTLES

Number of a player’s remaining battles is displayed in the top left corner.
Each set of 5 battles MUST be spent on the "next" guild in your schedule... so you play 5 battles from WAR 1, then 5 battles from WAR 2, etc... you can't jump back and forth.
Battles aren't lost if you don't use them... so you could wait until the final day and play all 30 battles in a row if you like!

Battle amount is reset at the start of a new Guild War. So, unused battles are not carried over.
NOTE: You cannot purchase more battles... we're not that kind of game!"

See? That is why I wondered...

My bad, it still works, it unlocked after all, it just took a pair of minutes, :)

Damn, this game is cheated as hell. That's my last achievement and impossible to get it.

- I often match with people stronger than I*.
- Sometimes, I meet less powerful enemies but they beat me anyway, and hard!
- My team strenght is 5,246, and today I met someone of 3,500 who beated me! Then someone with 2,800, I was afraid but I beated him...
- The A.I. knows exactly what's coming up from outside the board because it does what looks like a bad move but instead it does a great combo chain. ALL THE TIME! How can I beat a cheater??!!

I guess my weak is my team strenght, but I can't do better, all my characters are fully upgrated. Anyway, that's not an excuses because for weeks now I try but I very rarely match with weaker opponents, and even them beat me... So my scores at often 0/5, 0/5, 0/5, 0/5, 0/5 per week...

Any advise, please? :-'( Thanks !

*I did all the story missions from all territories, all the challenges, I'm lvl 199, and my deck fighters are all maxed up.

This achievement is slightly glitched, but in a good way. Rather than needing to win the battle, you simply need to finish a battle against a Paragon opponent, so it will still unlock if you lose.

You will need to be in a Guild and hope the leader has registered you for a weekly Guild War to attempt this. From there, you will need to win your first four matches in a single day (see "The Other Side of Dawn") and also hope that the guild you are paired with actually has a Paragon level opponent (smaller guilds might not). You will begin your battles against the lowest tier, and each time you win you'll move to the next tier (Soldier, Vanguard, Herald, Champion, then Paragon). Once you finish the Paragon battle (again, win or lose unless it gets patched), the achievement will unlock.

The guild you are paired against does not rotate until you finish all five battles against the current guild, or choose the skip option. If you already have "The Other Side of Dawn" unlocked, there's not much need to fight the rest of the battles, aside from possibly getting better rewards at the end of the war. You could get lucky and be paired against a weak guild on any given day (it seems quite random, and the guilds won't necessarily be your same strength), and as you increase the strength of your troops this will become easier as well.

You need to be a member of a guild. During the guild war, there will be battles in the attack - 5 per day for a week. Ideally, you need to win all 5 within one day. But a bug or feature, if you win 4 battles, you can lose the fifth - the trophy drops. (Game version 1.21)

09/27/2019. The trophy didn't drop. I played in Russian, defeated an opponent of the standard rank and no trophy. Then I changed the language and games and systems - it didn’t work.

UPD: I completed the last 5th battle by setting the console language to English, and the game language to German, and the achievement dropped. If you first go through the battle and then change the language, it will not drop out.
