How to unlock the Running Wild achievement in Generation Zero - Definitive Guide
Pretty simple, I used a baseball bat and just hit 20 cars. Depending on your health level you may die each time you blow up a car so a good place to do it is near safe houses. I blew up most of the cars in the base game and the last couple in the Alpine unrest DLC. Explosions that blow up multiple cars at once only count as one car.

No i just did what i said. Deleted save everywhere. Took me almost 2 hours to start my own game and find the gray bat and my 20 cars. Theres always a bat in the first house . The hard part was finding cars and how slow your character is without any skill points. I was one of those people who had destroyed +200 cars prior to the patch. Maybe thats why? My friend got his no problem but me.... probably there was a hidden in-game counter and mine was already passed 20 and wouldn't trigger the achievement. I can only think that joining someones elses game can void u the achievement too. You got to do it on your own hosted game without joining anyone prior

Used the xbltracker site says UNLOCKED 70 under this achievement but also says 0% under it as well so yeah this one is glitched hope they fix it soon. i have probably blown up 70 cars with melee I think if you blow up one car in a group of close cars ALL the cars count)

General tips to make this easier and faster:
You don’t even need a high-tiered bat to do this…I accomplished it with a one-star I found early in the game. It just goes faster with a stronger bat.
As mentioned in the other solution, if you destroy a vehicle and the explosion takes out others, it only counts as one. Unless your health is low, you should survive a single vehicle explosion. You probably won’t live through multiple explosions at once. Bear that in mind when choosing locations.
As for locations, towns and churches (which are usually places to respawn) tend to have at least a few cars, though churches often have them in close proximity in parking lots, which is usually instant death. Look for isolated vehicles to avoid excess deaths, if you care about that. (If you don’t, swing away). A good place to work on this achievement is Fiskeback, located on the northern coast of the South Coast Region. There are a lot of isolated cars there, and if you die, there’s also a safe house in the town. I finished off the achievement there.
I fast traveled between towns and churches and had this done in about an hour or so.

A bat of level 3 and above is suitable. With a level 2 bat, cars do not explode.
