You may pickup genetic code from almost any killed enemy in the game, to pickup this use collector gun 
. First, build cloning lab, next you need 10 genetic code pieces, 3 blue radiation. After that you can research new lifeform, but watch for the biospere that lifeform consume, you need it on your ship (you need specific plants in the greenhouse), after that you can clone that lifeform and achevement should unlock.
