This is essentially the final objective that you have.
You need to have scouted a planet that is available for genesis. You need to have enough crew members who all breathe the same type of gas (that matches the planets environment). Land on the planet select what crew you wish to leave on planet, activate the genesis, kill the giant alien spider. then walk back up out of the caves and activate the computer where all your crew are lined up. Done.
Note: activating a genesis does not mean the game is over as you get a choice to end there or continue with what crew is left. It is possible to complete multiple genesis' per run.
