This one may come naturally while you learn how the game works, possibly even during the tutorial. If not, there are many ways to trigger this:
1. Wait until one of your modules is attacked and starts breaking and stay in it until it does.
2. Build a short dead end with 2-3 corridor modules, then stand at the very end and remove the first one that's connected to the rest of the ship. Then just wait until the entire dead end explodes because of the loss of power.
3. Just shoot the power nodes in any module yourself to destroy it and wait till it explodes.
