Before we continue, it’s worth noting that one round can include multiple Genesis events.
You don’t have to collect 1000 biomass before your first Genesis, it carries over to Continue+ and any subsequent Continues.
It is best to choose Superior Genetics because you will start with the large Biotank, which can hold 80 biomass per tank.
Build 2-4 Biotanks and start collecting Biomass. When they get near to full capacity, deconstruct all the tanks to empty them, then rebuild to start over.
IMPORTANT: Any biomass collected when the tanks are full does not count towards the 1000 total required to unlock the achievement.
It is worth keeping note of how much you’ve collected if you are going for 1000 before your first Genesis because the achievement unlocks at the next initiated Genesis and not when you’ve actually collected the 1000 biomass.
Some good sources of Biomass:
-Low Danger planets with Arachnoids, Kraul or Mantiz. Thumbs up for the info on being able to do it after a genesis and the method of deleting and rebuilding biotanks. However, I guess it has been updated since you wrote the guide because the achievement did unlock for me as soon as I hit 1000 without the need to initiate a genesis.

You should get this naturally if you're stringing together multiple NG+ runs while working on T3 clones and weapons among other stuff.
