How to unlock the The Ogre achievement in Ghost Song - Definitive Guide
Hello all,
So this boss I found quite difficult and I felt underleveled at SL 29 as he was 2-3 hit killing me at full health but not sure what level you’re supposed to fight him at.
Anyway, you will find him in the junk pit which is the bottom lower portion of the map. He is very large and is surprisingly quick and hits VERY hard. He has a hammer type weapon that he likes to slam around that also has a shockwave when it hits the ground. There are also little robots that spawn in the water to annoy you as well. These I found to be a minor annoyance as the ogres hammer slams kill most of them.
My strategy was as follows: Utilize the double jump and the invincibility frames the first dash gives you and jump over him. On the other side unload in his face with the coburn launcher as it did the most damage for me. Try to keep him in the middle of the screen because if he traps you on either side it’s very hard to get over him without taking damage. At half health he will go berserk at times and slam the hammer back and forth on each side. Stay on whichever side has more room and do your best to jump over the shockwaves.
This is a tough boss and took me about 10 attempts or so. Good luck!

Seriously excellent strategy. In hindsight, it's definitely the most obvious way to take him down, but I had the benefit of reading your experience rather than dying over and over to learn it myself lol. Got him on my second try and I'm only SL 32

If you are close to him, he tends to use the direct swing instead of the jump-at-you attack. Stay relatively close and jump right before he swings so you can dash through him as he swings (you can't dash in the water), then keep going that direction to get out of the way when he brings the weapon back behind him. Meanwhile, just keep unloading the Skab Device at him as much as possible, and let Dolly take care of the stragglers that the ogre doesn't kill himself.
At level 32, I had enough energy that the skabs took him down in very little time. It just takes a couple of tries to get the timing right on the jumps, then you should be good to go.

Was the Skab weapon nerfed at one point? Tried using it for a few bosses and it didn't seem that useful. Only maybe 1 in 4 shots seemed to actual spawn the little homing flies.
