There are shrines where you place a weapon in and get an item from a random player out, with a random bonus effect. The other player must kill things with your item equipped for this to count.

Don't just add random things. That'll just get your stuff sold with other junk. You want to add decent stuff so others are more likely to use it.

I often keep my old orange/purple items and deposit those. If it's good enough for you to use, it's probably decent enough for a random player somewhere.

Try to either pick items with specialized stats or generalized stats.

Minion damage/minion health

Skill damage/skill charges

Basic damage/basic speed

Gold/Experience/item drop/rare drop so players get too enticed to pass it up, or they save it for general grinding.

Of course, generic things like avoidance, absorb and adding flat elemental damage are good too. Just avoid random stat combos. Nobody wants an item with ice resist, attack speed and minion health.

Summon players as a ghost to increase your numbers too. (Don't panic if you get an error when summoning. It get them all the time and never seems to do anything bad.)

It can be delayed to unlock. If you continue hitting the shrines it will unlock eventually. It seems to check every time you activate a shrine.
