How to unlock the Catalog Conqueror achievement in Ghostwire: Tokyo - Definitive Guide
the hardest part of this for me was getting the yokai to spawn that i needed 3 of and the 20 cats. At a glance the list of challenges will seem rather daunting but i do want you all to know it is very manageable. In the Spider thread mode it is essentially a roguelite version of the game. all skills transfer between runs and any crafted bracelet is permanent you can sell the bracelets you receive between every 3 level sets (they will be at the bottom of the list at the bracelet crafting merchant) this will help you stockpile thread faster to craft things you want to try using or to save up for the big 1 hit 1 kill bracelet. the first goal you should have is to level yourself up to 50 as fast as you can. in some cases it will be run straight to the end of the level. i didn't get to level 50 until shortly after my 1st successful run. doing so unlocks the abillity to craft an everything dies in 1 hit INCLUDING YOU (outside of certain enemies that have phases and one rare mob that shows up if you stay in a zone for too long) this is essential to getting the remaining tasks completed after your first run completion (if not before). There wasn't much to go off of for information i will say however i got my 20th cat on floor 67 or 68 and that was the hardest part for me as the spawn rates for cats are frustratingly low. however there seems to be certain areas where they will spawn and not in others. all of the levels are something that can be memorized unlike a normal roguelite so it leaves you with the ability to know where things will be and what enemies spawn where. i will say that the game does save progress between each 3 levels when you reenter the hub so no need to feel like you have to play for hours to get things done. when going for challenges i recommend using these 4 bracelets.
IMPORTANT SET UP FOR COMPLETING THE JOBS (minimum level 50)
1 hit 1 kill for everyone bracelet
low gravity bracelet (maxed)
Movement speed bracelet (maxed lvl 5) / bracelet that lets you find yokai or see souls further away (as a swap in swap out as needed when figuring out the spawns for the yokai in each area they spawn. Note they are static spawns that will never change location in that specific area)
charge fire shot helps clear out large areas of enemies with the insta kill bracelet and the wind shots i used for any solo enemies. this will take time and none of the list is particularly hard just a lot and i mean A LOT of random chance. this is why goal number 1 should be getting your 3 bracelets or 4 if you want that extra help finding yokai spawns. it is hit or miss though unfortunately it does not help much with the wall yokai or the umbrella one. i do apologize for the long post as well as if someone was hoping for exact how to on every part of the list.

Just need the Yokai and the cats now. I wish they didn’t add those tedious jobs based on random chance.
The one hit kill beads do make most levels incredibly easy so you can breeze through levels very quickly to speed this up.
Great game overall, didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.

First thing first, there're things to remember:
1. All levels scenario are fixed. This includes all objectives, number and location of cash, food, enemies, yokais, cats... etc. That means if you found a level that contains the things you need, you are guaranted to get them.
2. All levels have a floor range associated with them. For example, an Eliminate 12 enemies level that take part in the highway (with 1 Kodoma on the rooftop) can only be encountered as floor 1-2.
That means if you know which level you're searching for, you can always reload the game to find the level you need.
3. You can re-roll a level after descending from Cats Paw simply by Pause => Return to Main Menu => Spider's Thread Mode => Continue
So, here goes the strategy to get this as fast as possible:
Note: Some jobs you'll eventually get during your playthrough (e.g: kills enemies x times). Some require grinding (e.g: unlock all skills) but it simple as it is, so I will not included it here. This guide focus on 2 main things: How clear level 30 (Views From the Abyss achievement) and those RNG involved jobs.
A. There're two main ways of clearing floor 30
It's okay when you die and restart because the enemies grow stronger, so you will need stronger equipments and skills. Replay again and again, complete all the side tasks including collect cash and food will net you more money for your skills next run. Collect Spirits and Yokai is a must because an yokai net you 5k money, Spirits net x10 amount you collected. It possible to clear floor 30 without any upgrade because of perfect block mechanic, but, well...
1. The Easy way, recommended for less skillful players/achievement hunters
There's an Iron Beads that unlock in cat shop when you level 50, this Beads allow you to 1 shot opponent, and they can 1 shot you, too. But who's the aggressive one here though. You can play at your own pace but the fastest way is to clear all the Optional Objectives in level 1-9, where enemies are not strong enough to be a challenge. Then die at 10 to restart from begining. Keep grinding like this until you reach level 50. Collect Spirit Threads along the way and besure to have at least 40 of them to purchase the Iron Beads. From there, you can get to floor 30 easily. Count it as fast, but I think about 10 hours is required.
2. The Legit way, recommended for those who really love the game
It depends on your style but personally I prefer stealth ninja mode with bows and sneak attack from behind and above. For skills and beads I maxed out Water for crown control, and to deal with annoying dancer; Fire for bosses, Archery of course for stealth attack (headshot is a must in higher levels).
B. For RNG involved jobs including yokai and cats
1. Yokai are re-collectable. That means you can collect them again in a level you've collected last run.
2. Cats are unique. They only appear in their unique level. Once you've rescued them, they'll never spawn again if you run into that level one more time.
3. For cats: There're 30 floors and 20 cats. You start at floor 1 and after every 2 floor, your multiple-of-3th floor will be an arena where you fought a horde of enemies or bosses. After that, you will be back at the Paw and every cats you saved will be count as rescued. If you die before reaching Cat's Paw, you will have to collect that cat again. There're 20 cats that speads throughout a run:
Floors 4/5: 3 cats (1 by tutorial)
Floors 7/8: 2 cats
Floors 10/11: 2 cats
Floors 13/14: 2 cats
Floors 16/17: 3 cats
Floors 19/20: 2 cats
Floors 22/23: 2 cats
Floors 25/26: 2 cats
Floors 28/29: 2 cats
When you go cats hunting, you can re-roll a level after Cat's Paw descending by return to main menu and continue your save file. If you hear a MEOW at the start of the level, clear them, save the cat (you can use Spirit Perception Beads lv3 to locate the cat if you cant find them using Sense) and then clear the the next two level to be back at the Paw again and that cat will be counted.
The only problem is if you "accidentally" saved a cat before but you dont remember which level, you are doomed (j/k). You can check this guide to know which level has a cat, and if you roll into these but you don't hear the meow, that means you've collected them (credit to joaocp1962 for this awesome work):
4. For yokais, encounter Kuchisake...
Yokai is easier because they're re-collectable. But the same as cats are, they're bound to their level and only appear in certain floor. The re-roll method also work. Now I do remember some yokai levels (e.g. Oni in Floors 13/14 at Absorb Spirit level, where you can buy food at the spawn location and feed the dog; Kamaitachi at Floors 19/20...), but it's not enough to put on a complete guide for this.
Enjoy your desperated achievement!

Thank for tutorial!
Just I have found last "yellow ether floor" and got achievement!
I found yellow ether floor twice on floor 13. Maybe in other floor u can find too!
So a little guide who trying to find yellow ether floor:
1 In Yellow Ether Floors you spawn on a plattform with yellow ether around it and you have a timer during which you need to shoot down as many as you can
2 When get to lvl 13 just re-roll a level after descending from Cats Paw simply by Pause => Return to Main Menu => Spider's Thread Mode => Continue until you spawn In Yellow Ether Floors. I reloaded level 10-15 times

@HnS I top I I don't believe that the yellow ether floor spawns right after a re-roll. They spawn between two floors

THIS IS A GUIDE FOR THE 5 YELLOW ETHER ROOMS!! The other guides perfectly sum up what you will need to do for the other parts of the nekomata jobs.
Yellow ether rooms are rooms that spawn IN BETWEEN floors, and are not full floors themselves. Like the rooms that are just food or just have the three guys in them, they will not (as far as I know) spawn right out of the cats paw. For example, if you were to get a yellow ether room on floor 13, it would happen after you cleared the actual floor 13 and descended to floor 14, not on your initial descent to floor 13.
Despite this, the strategy for farming yellow ether rooms is much the same as the reroll strategy for yokai and lost cats.
1. The first thing to note is that you should stay between floors 1-30. There is no benefit to going over, and many hunters have noted that the probability of spawning both yellow ether rooms and cats is much higher in the first 30 floors.
2. Another hunter stated that floor 13 is a good place to farm for the rooms, and I agree. For whatever reason, it seems to have a higher spawn chance than other floors. The strategy is to get to the cats paw after floor 12, then run through floor 13 as fast as possible. Then, if you descend to floor 14 and there’s no ether room, quit to the main menu and continue from the cats paw. You can then reclear floor 13 and keep trying for ether rooms.
Good luck!

My guide would be to firstly just focus on getting rank 50. Play the levels out and try to complete all optional objectives along the way. Don’t stress about making it to 30 floors immediately, it’s ok to die and repeat. During your ranking up dismantle your beads and collect all spider threads on the levels that have them. Also buy skills every 3 levels while in the Cat Den
Once you hit 50 I suggest buying the 1 Shot beads and Low Gravity. The third slot i always used spirit beads to locate yoki. Now it’s time to work on objectives.
So as you begin again as level 50 from floor 1-30 you will get through it with easy. And complete many objectives as well. If you die quit the game before the death animation completes. If you get a floor with corruption on the ground, take off your one shot bead and progress onward, touching corruption with One shot will result in death.
Pay attention to your side Heads up Display on the floor contents. Always collect Yoki indicated as purple swirls and go for as much cash crates as possible. Cats will not be indicated on the HUD but they will however identify themselves on whatever level they spawn on by a large meeeow at the start so make sure you play with sound on.
Finally I always used charged fire shots on groups of enemies whilst using 1 shot beads. And wind standard shots for solo enemies. You will come across some levels where a Infernul scissor chick will roam, she is unkillable so don’t even mess with her.
By following these tips you should get over 70 challenges complete, the remainder are just having to grind out due to rng

Many people write that the last cat or magatama was found in room 68 or 85 for example, but I did it completely differently, I didn’t go above room 30, in general the principle is this: in the game there are 30 main rooms that are divided into let’s say blocks, that is, 1 room, 2nd room and boss, 4th, 5th and boss and so on, in each block there are about 10 randomly respawned rooms, I went through, say, the first room and just went to the menu and loaded the first room again and thereby reloaded the room to a new one, took a cat or magatama and then finished the block by killing the boss so that the cat would appear in your main rest room, in this way I searched all the blocks and found all the cats and magatama and ethers, etc., etc., I didn’t go above level 30 and there’s no point in it, and so on moment, let’s say you went through the first room and from the second you started to go to the menu, then you will start again from the first to enter the next one. the block needs to kill the boss, the room numbers from which I left and started respawning are 1,4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28, only in these rooms you need to go to the menu and reload the lock

The list contains the item “find the monstrous kuchisage (woman with scissors)” 5 times in total. I was guaranteed to find her on the 16-17th floor and on the 25/26th. You need to see her stupidly for Akito or KK to give their comment. You can combine this with the capture of a caracas-cozo.
To farm money, it is better to go beyond the 30th floor than to stomp from 1 to 30. They give you many times more money.
