To do a quick Purge you will need to get behind an unaware enemy and press 
which will do a powerful silent attack that will kill most enemies instantly.

Loading back saves is also an option! Although you will get many opportunities to do a Quick Purge stealthily and in combat via the Ground Core Grab ability!
