How to unlock the Sniper achievement in Ghostwire: Tokyo - Definitive Guide

Best way to obtain this achievement is to locate any visitor with a head, place a waypoint marker using your map on their location and use it as a guide while you create distance to ensure a 40m shot. You will have to aim decently above their head to land the shot due to drop. Right above the lower scope hashmark is sufficient

Find a good spot and remember to save, so you can easily retry

This achievement can be earnt anywhere in the game. Find a visitor, preferably one of the weaker ones (with a head) standing stationary somewhere. Back up from them as far as you can go or what you believe to be more than 40 meters. Do a manual save then using the "Bow" attempt to hit them in the head with a shot. Take into account that theres bullet/arrow drop in game, so aim a little higher. If you miss the head or still appear to be too close, load up the previous save and try again.

Note: The arrows will also pierce through umbrellas, so don't worry about those getting in the way.

In my video below I got this near the end of Chapter 2: The Buried Life. Where you lose KK's powers and can only use a Bow. It's a nice big room and you have 4 visitors stood idle in front of you straight after the cutscene.

Wonderful, I just came on this achievement to make a guide and the easiest spot I've found without a moving Visitor to headshot and this was the spot and you've made a video too :)

I find it hilarious you need to point out that the visitor needs a head, as you just know somebody will be trying to headshot the skipping girl visitors....

It's easier from a tall building, do not forget place a waypoint marker using your map to check the right distance.

The best way to do this is to utilise your map marker. Find a good vantage point on top of a building and place a marker where a group of enemies are.
When one walks beyond your 40m line, aim slightly above its head and fire your charged-up arrow. This should get you an instant kill and the trophy.
I found the easiest enemies for this were the Paper Dolls (they look like hostesses in blue waist-coats and skirts and send a large amount of red orbs at you).
Rain Walkers are shielded by umbrellas that block your arrows and the Students of Misery simply have no heads to shoot.

What a complete trash bag of a trophy. The bow blows, half the enemies have no heads, and the draw distance nearly disappears after about 50m. At least the game doesn't have an insanely long collectathon and horrible unbalanced monetary system! Oh, wait.

Managed to do it on a long street, stood on top of an ambulance. Aimed at one of the skinny umbrella dudes who was knocking on a car door. It is an absolute faff of an achievement (and that's saying something after collecting all those spirits).

You've a couple of choices here. You can either take to the rooftops and try sniping from above (not the best idea as most enemies have umbrellas over their heads), or you can line up a Visitor from the end of the street, and either use the bow, or attempt to take them out with one of your Ethereal Weaving powers. Your gust power is the most accurate, but the flame power is much stronger. Don't bother using the aqua power, as it launches a wide crescent projectile, so is not particularly accurate. You can go to the map via the DualSense touchpad and place a custom waypoint to help measure the correct distance.

The easiest way is to knock it off the roof. There are many such places in the game, but I can recommend the point next to the teleport. Climb onto the balcony (red dot) and look in the direction of the arrow. There will just be 40 meters. Be sure to save before shooting. Didn't hit - loaded - tried again

If it didn’t work from the roof, then there is a place (you can see it in the video) mark a point in front of about 45-46 meters and shoot a little higher than the target so that the arrow lands on the target, here is a video guide

In the 2nd chapter in the subway, after your CC is taken away along with your abilities, you will only have a bow and a decent amount of strangers at a long distance. Calmly do all the trophies with a bow by reloading the save.

When you see a suitable standing monster with its head, place it on the place where it is marked on the map. Move to the side until the tag counter shows just over 40 meters and shoot, taking into account the ballistics.
