How to unlock the Win Gentle Promenade achievement in Giana Sisters: Dream Runners - Definitive Guide

The way I got it to pop for me.

Start a custom game.
Add your main Profile.
Add your second account on a second controller.
Then use you your main controller to Add Random(Online) to the 2 remaining places and then hit nextcn_X.

Then just start the match by hitting A on both controllers and running with your main account until you get a star. Once you get the starts and the win screen appears the achievement will pop.

Pasted from my reply to someone having a similar issue

That happened to me originally, when you say a game by yourself do you mean you and a 2nd controller or just yourself?

If you have the 2nd controller make sure it is signed in with the ability to play online and try letting the timer count down. Let me know if that helps

This worked for me after figuring out why it wasn't working. For me it worked exactly as you said, but I had to make sure both of my controllers were set to ready, not just signed in without being ready. I didn't have to wait for the timer and it worked for all the maps.

This is not really a guide but a very helpful tool to make most of the achievements very quick and simple. U can use 2 controllers to boost most of it. Just choose ur player and the 2nd will be local player. I had issues when both conrollers hit X to vote on a map. So just place both players on the needed map and let the timer countdown. Then do whatever is needed with the 2 human controlled players.

The game has 9 levels and each has a trophy for winning a round on it. These can be done in any order you wish, and can be done either online or offline. If you decide to play offline, you must do so against three bots, though they can all be set to easy to make it.

Each level is essentially a huge circular track filled with obstacles. Every level has two "modes", which can be toggled by running into buttons scattered throughout the stages, and doing so will alter the landscape and routes available.

In order to win a game you need to earn 3 points. You earn points by going quickly enough to push an opponent off-screen. When you do so, a counter will start to count down from 30 seconds, and when it reaches 0 you need to be at the front of the pack of opponents. Whoever is in front at zero seconds will earn a point, and the first to three points wins the game.

You can also earn a point by forcing all 3 opponents off-screen, but this will be rare. The dash pickup can help you to achieve this on occasion, but don't expect this to happen very often.

2 Controller Method:

If you have a second controller, then these trophies (among others) become a breeze. Simply load up a match online and when the game finds no other people playing online, you will create your own lobby. When in the lobby you can use your second controller to first remove a slot that is searching for other players, and then to join in with your second controller. Once you've done that, ready up () with both controllers and go to "Next" () to continue to the level select screen.

From the level select screen choose the map you need with both controllers, and when the level loads up simply run to the right to take the second character off-screen for an easy point. Rinse and repeat for every level and the whole process shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Refer to the video below to see this method in action:

There are nine maps in the game, and there is an achievement for winning a game on each of them. In order to win a game, you need to win three rounds. To win a round, one opponent needs to be forced off of the screen, and the game will start a countdown from 30 seconds. You need to either be in front of all of the other opponents when the count down reaches 0 or force the remaining opponents off of the screen before the count down reaches 0 in order to win the round. If the game thinks you have been on a map for a long time, a countdown will start from 30 seconds even if no one has been forced off of the screen.

You can either do this offline against three bots (you can put the bots on easy to make this easier) or online with a boosting partner (please see the Official Boosting Thread or the Sessions feature for all boosting purposes).
