How to unlock the I hate portals achievement in Gloomhaven - Definitive Guide
The Prime Demon is the Boss of Scenario 21, Infernal Throne.
You'll unlock Infernal Throne while progressing through the Main Games Questline.
This Scenario can be a little tricky as you have to fight Demons, which have some of the strongest enemies in the game in their ranks, aswell as a Boss that you cannot damage in conventional ways. The Prime Demon cannot take damage from attacks, and instead you have to damage an Alter to do damage to the Prime Demon. The PD has multiple abilities that move the Alter around the Dungeon, some of which can be in completely different rooms. The PD also summons other Demons, so be prepared for that aswell.
My best advice for this Scenario is high movement cards, so you can open the doors and cover the ground needed to catch up with the Alter, and high Damage Attack cards to be able to beat up the Alter once you catch up to it. If you have the Berserker unlocked it is a great class for this Scenario. The Boss is Immune to Poison, Wound, Immobilize, Disarm, Stun and Muddle, so don't waste those effects on it.
Once you've dealt enough Damage to the Alter to destroy it the Prime Demon will die and you'll complete the Scenario at the end of the round and unlock the ''I hate Portals'' Achievement!
