The first time you can unlock this is on level 9. Simply start the level and then wait for the green foot symbol to fill up and then press "X" to activate the power.
Due to the long paths back to your hut, you will have to utilize this power throughout the level to get a 3 Star rating.

In Level 9, you are able to use the Sprint Ability for the first time. This will allow your workers to run fast and letting you build up your inventory quicker. All you need to do is press 
when the icon at the bottom of the screen is full. Trophy pops when the ability is enabled.
