How to unlock the Eight Legged Killer achievement in Go Mecha Ball - Definitive Guide
After you have completed 3 levels, with 3 waves each, you will be transported to the shop level. Random stuff gets added each run. Here is where I struck it lucky. I had unlocked the Lightspitter weapon, and acquired that the level prior, then I added the Smash and Netlink abilities to my character. This made the boss fight against Glitch Weaver easy.
It's a giant Ant. What it does, is move around normally, which is where you unleash all your rounds into it. When it flashes red, roll out of the way and keep your distance. It does have an attack where it will charge at you. But steer clear unless its just walking around. Circle it and unload a volley of bullets at it. Eventually, you'll unlock phase 2.
After jumping onto a wall, it will deploy pods which spawn spiders. Roll and smash into them, or shoot them. Either way, get those pods down. Then resume your battle as normal. The Ant will get more aggressive in this phase, so take care and get out of the way once it prepares to attack. Using the Netlink ability, I was able to hold it in place, before using Smash to stun it. I would then unload as much as I could into it, before moving.
It's worth noting, that it utilises a new ground based attack that shoots a black liquid in front of it. Just roll away from it when it's charging up. A marker appears on the ground to alert you. Once enough damage has been dealt, it will repeat the jump onto the wall where it will deploy more pods.
Phase 3 and the last phase. Destroy the 4 pods as quickly as you can. Once you've attended to that matter, you will notice that aggression is at max and it does its forward projectile twice. Use your abilities as much as possible, and don't risk unnecessary attacks. I was lucky with my weapons and abilities, so luck will play a part.
I beat the boss on my second attempt. So you all shouldn't struggle.
It's worth noting that if you have either Netlink or Smash, you can potentially unlock the Tremors and Netrunner achievements here, if you are willing to allow enough spiders to spawn in. Otherwise, you can unlock it any time you have either of them.

Thanks for the guide, I had of a read before the boss fight but on the beginner difficulty, this wasn't an issue
