How to unlock the A new challenger has appeared achievement in Goat Simulator - Definitive Guide
This is the guide I used to complete this on the 360.
Some notes:
The mutators to not starve CAN be on to get all achievements in this game.
Unlike the 360, a gamer has said that dying CAN reset your progress, so use mutators to help just to be safe!
The Inventory mutator wasn't available for my playthrough, but a user has said creating a new save will bring it back.
Throughout your playthrough, challenges pop up in the corner with a countdown. Completing 25 of these in a game will unlock you the achievement! Challenges will most likely repeat, and repeated challenges will count towards the total.
A list of the challenges has been made by Steam user Vic=HKC= and can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=442513...
If you have access to a laptop/tablet/etc., go to the page above and then CTRL + F to quickly navigate the quests by name. This will really help out for ones that need you to go to a certain area (taking a shower, making the water course deadly, etc.) with little time for looking around.
Just an addition to this guide.
You need the MMO DLC however to make this more easier
First you will need the:
Then activate the wheel mutator, you will get a time stop mutator. so you can go around doing your quest without hurrying up with the 2 minutes.
(you will need to deactivate them to move certain objects, and to get the new quest, however)
(also Paraglide but that one mess up with the wheel of time)
Credit to reforc3 in the comments of another solution. I'm posting this solution so people don't break a controller trying to do this without mutators, like I did.
Survival quests only appear in ‘GoatZ - After Outbreak.’
Survival quests are tasks that you complete for points, health and food. Complete 25 of these in the same game and the achievement will unlock. Since you have to do this in one game, it’s okay to respawn if necessary but you cannot restart or else you will have to start over again. You will probably complete a good amount of these as you are going for “Survivalist.”
Each quest is different and includes, but not limited to, killing zombies, crafting an item, eating a food item(s), acting like a goat, causing destruction and many other tasks. They appear in the top right corner of the screen. Also, each quest is timed, so you sometimes have to work fast to complete them. If you decide not to complete the current task, just wait out the timer for another one to display.
You can check to see how many quests you’ve completed by pressing and navigating to ‘Death Stats.’
The mutators to not starve and not take damage can be used to get all achievements in this game. All 25 quests have to be done in one playthrough / game. If you die, it will reset your progress. The Inventory mutator can also be used, however sometimes it's buggy.

Also, to make this really easy you can use the Wheel Goat mutator from the MMO DLC which you get from this achievement:
The Wheel Goat mutator stops all time including the quest timer. So you can freeze time, find what you are looking for, and unfreeze time before completing the task. You can kill zombies while time is frozen, however you can't move objects while time is frozen.

For mass killings and killing of elephants, it is better to make weapons.
I haven't seen any spitting zombies, so you can just skip it.
