When you complete a level, your level points will be tallied. You get 100 points for each star you collect, and then your time is converted into score. In order to get at least 500 points on each level, you should absolutely collect all three stars for an easy 300 points there (although there are definitely levels where you can get 500 points without all three stars, but you need them all anyway for other achievements). The amount of time in which you must complete levels varies quite a lot. Some of the earlier/simpler levels may need to be done in under a minute or so, whereas some of the later or more complicated levels I sometimes spent 2 minutes on and still got 500 points or more.

You'll likely be playing each level twice: the first time to collect the firefly and figure out the level solution; the second time should be pretty quick since you should know exactly how to solve the level now. There were often times though where I'd get over 500 points on my first attempt even while collecting the firefly and figuring out the solution. So that goes to show how lenient these times can be. If you don't hit 500 points on the first run of a level, you should far exceed it on your second attempt, so this achievement should pose no problems whatsoever.

To see your score on each level, from each tree's level select screen, there is a "High Scores" option in the upper right. This will show you your best scores on all 25 levels of that tree, so you can see if you're under 500 on any of them. 

Refer to the "Pure Light" achievement solution for a link to level solutions in case you need any help with actually figuring out the solution to a level. Once you do, then it's just a matter of setting the level up quickly.

This achievement will unlock upon completing all 150 levels with a score of 500 or more.
