How to unlock the Besties achievement in God of War Ragnarök - Definitive Guide
This trophy is rewarded during the Animal Instincts favour.
The favour is found in the Lake of Nine in Midgard, and is started after clearing one of the four raider camps found in the Lake.
The first that you'll like find is in the ice chunk found immediately after exiting the cave that connects Kratos and Atreus' house to the lake.
from here the next camp can be found inside a section of Tyr's temple, from the first camp face Tyr's temple, and then follow it around to the left until you find a big hole you can climb through. the camp entrance is on the north of the temple, look for the a massive helmet sticking out of the ice near it.
The next camp can be found close by, from the entrance to the previous camp look right and you'll see a gap between the realm gate connected to Tyr's temple and a snowy landscape, at the end of this gap is the entrance to the camp.
The fourth camp is found on the south side of Tyr's temple, the entrance is right blow the S in Tyr's Temple on the map screen. The entrances are 2 small openings in the ice sheets. This camp fetaured a boss fight for me (however I don't know if this is specific to this camp, or is done in whichever camp is done last)
The camps can be done in whichever order you feel, but after you have finished all the camps return to the sled and interact with it where Kratos will then realize the wolves are scared of him. He'll then proceed to pet them while reassuring them he is no threat. After Kratos has finished and returns to the reigns the trophy shall unlock.

You need to complete the quest "Animal Instincts"
When you harness your wolves to find the norns in the story, you may encounter a raider camp and this will trigger an additional quest.
The quest requires you to clear out 4 raider camps.
I marked the location of the camps on the map.
