How to unlock the Hell's enemy achievement in Godsvivors - Definitive Guide

Beating the game requires you to survive until the 15 minutes runs out, at which point Hades will spawn and you need to kill him.

Starting off, you will definitely not be strong enough to survive a run and beat the game, but here are some tips and guidance to make it easier:

  1. Start by doing a run where you focus on getting 1000 coins so you can afford the Double Pistol, which will make your next run way easier
  2. Play another run with Ares using the Double Pistol, and do your best. You will make it much farther, and should keep focusing on collecting coins. Try to amass 6000
  3. Once you have 6000 coins, time to buy the Machine Gun, which is the best gun in the game. Any extra money should be spent at the Forge
  4. First priority at the Forge goes to King Crown, which doubles your coins collected during runs. Second priority is upgrading damage and crit, since DPS is what's going to get you through the mobs and bosses better
With Ares, the Machine Gun, and only a couple Forge upgrades, you should be strong enough to beat the game. If you're not skilled at these types of games, it's just a matter of playing to grind coins so you can afford more upgrades at the Forge. You will eventually reach a tipping point where you're strong enough to mow through even the biggest enemies and then take down the bosses with relative ease. Despite being a twin stick shooter, the gameplay is more like a Survivors game where you need to kite enemies behind you, dodge around them, and focus fire on the mob following you. Once you're strong enough, this becomes trivial though.

During runs, skills make a big difference. The best ones are:

  • Twins - adds extra shots/spread to your gun
  • Hermes Talent - extra movement speed is very useful considering how slow you move
  • Damnum - extra damage is essential for survival
  • Piercing - being able to penetrate through mobs makes it much easier to survive
Definitely don't bother with Ignis (aside from getting the achievement for unlocking Apollo), the skill that stuns (chance is waaay too low), or health increases. The one that increases XP is pretty good, but only if there aren't any options that improve DPS.

After you beat the game for the first time, you unlock Zeus. He has every character's passive ability, making him very OP. This will make it very easy to run through the game with the Submachine gun for God's Submachine (90G) after beating it with the Machine Gun.
