Charon appears at the 11-minute mark and is in a huge boat, slowly coming after you. His only attack is a swing of an oar at you if he gets close enough (which means he will likely hit you). Keep moving away and shooting back at him, and he won't get close enough to hit you. He's quite the tank, so don't be surprised if it takes a while to finally kill him.
