How to unlock the Clutchgod achievement in Going Under - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unlocked for killing a mimic item cube. The mimic cubes don't start spawning until the second half of the game. This occurs after you have completed four dungeons and they are reset for story reasons. The mimic cubes do not appear to spawn when dropped off by drone but instead must be found hanging around in rooms.

I got this achievement within the first floor after the mid-point of the game in Joblin and they seem to have a decently high spawn rate.

Note: If you have the 'Ill-Tempered' skill, or whichever one makes you explode periodically, and the box kills you. You can still kill the box from the tally screen. Just happened to me

I have completed over 150 dungeons and haven’t encountered it once. No video on YouTube, nothing about this. I’m really curious what they look like

Like AngryK, I got it in one of the first dungeons I played in the second half of the game when I had the explosive skill where you blow up every few seconds. Wasn’t trying for it and got it as a surprise.

While grinding runs in joblin for money to buy skills I randomly found this enemy and only once, it looks exactly like the blue supply boxes but has a mouth and attacks

I must be doing something wrong. I've completed the final boss fight, but still haven't seen a mimic cube. I must have attempted the first room of floor 999 over 100 times now...

Oh. My. God. I decided to enter the Joblin phase 2 dungeon for a change and the first game since I posted the above had a mimic box! Judas Priest on a 2-stroke moped!

Using a business card on them doesn't seem to count as have it in the Rolodex but not this achievement

I was having a difficult time waiting for a monster box to spawn. Perhaps a coincidence, but the moment I switched my mentor to Tappi (increased box occurrences) one spawned in the first dungeon.

Hungry Boxes are Cubicle box mimics that only begin to spawn in True Founder dungeons. However, they're rare; by the time I unlocked all skills and otherwise completed the rolodex, I had only seen one by pure chance.

The main way to tell if a box is a Hungry Box is that you cannot pick it up like a normal box. You can push it around all you like without triggering it, but you won't have the prompt to pick it up.

The best way to quickly check for Hungry Boxes is to defeat Vested Marv on floor 999 of Cubicle, then pause the game and abandon the run.

Re-entering the dungeon will put you on Floor 1000 with Marv's Union Buster, with the next room being a large skill shop staffed by all three merchants. Directly to your left is a Cubicle box that always spawns a blank card for the rolodex. Behind the merchants are boxes, and a Hungry Box can spawn here. You can either swing at the stack to trigger a potential box, or try to pick it up so you know if it's a box, which can be handy if going for the rolodex. If no box spawns, abandon the run and re-enter Floor 1000.

Got it using this method. HOWEVER, don't use the blank rolodex card on the box or it won't count. I had to do this twice because I killed the box with the card the first time.
