I very much recommend not following travelyan to the bottom part of the cradle before he tells you to finish the job. the enemies hit you without fail over the long distances. instead, shoot him when he's at the bottom of the ramp, and then turn back (through the little hut with the second body armor) and go to the other side and wait for him there. shoot him, then turn back again and so forth. also, make sure to utilize the fact that neither guards nor travelyan know how to shoot over the handrails.
