Guides say one controller. You can also get this on the cloud in multiplayer on your phone. It’ll say connect controller 2 but you can run around and enjoy your childhood all you want before you karate chop your “opponent” to death

You can do this with one controller.

Start a multiplayer game with any settings:

Find the second character and kill them before they pick up a weapon. This should be easy since multiplayer is offline only and you can leave the second player doing nothing and they won't pick up any weapons.

Achievement unlocked.
