If like myself you are not planning on going for the par achievements then there is a swift solution.
For all 18 holes pause the game and select 'Forfeit Hole'. Repeat until the course is over and you'll unlock the achievement.
Otherwise if you are playing for fun you'll get this regardless of your score after all 18 holes are played.

Can I still get the achievement using classic but customizing the settings or does it need to be only classic mode?

Nope. Has to be classic only. Nothing modified at all.
