Just find a shard with many dodos and start firing. The best chance for that are the green nodes on the map, the "forests".
If they start to attack you, use the cover/hide ability to get some distance.
Rinse, repeat.

Exactly how I did it as well + the enemies on the crashsite map. Make sure you do this early as enemies scale with your level and you revolver doesnt get any damage increase. If you are going to do this at say level 50 you are going to have a bad time against bullet spongy enemies.
