How to unlock the Go Eat Worms! achievement in Goosebumps: The Game - Definitive Guide

you'll only need 10, But these are once i've encountered, This will need to be done within 1 play through
[I've been told since update it's no longer required to be done in 1 play through, but none the less, the list is here for you]
---------------------1st area----------------------

#1 - attacked by the Forrest man
#2 - fall down the drain pipe hole on the right.
#3 - Drinking the Prune Juice
#4 - Taste the blood in the tunnel
#5 - Not running from the blood fast enough [counts as a separate death from #4]
#6 - Attacked by the Beast from the East in the Forrest in front of the tree [back tracked]
#7 - killed by the Tiny Terror
#8 - Squished in the shrinking room [ room before the attic ]
#9 - Death by the Evil Twin in the mirror [attic]
#10 - Death from wearing the Haunted mask for too long [2-3 mins i believe]
#11 - Tasting the saliva on the gargoyle statue in the parents bedroom
--------------------------- Area 2 ( The Mall )-----------------------

#12 - Attacked by the Mall Guard
#13 - Taste the pink candy in the candy store
#14 - Incorrectly answer the leprechaun
#15 - Interact with the Mannequins
#16 - Attack by the Gnomes during the black out [ just stand there you'll get attacked]
#17 - Death from Slappy

Where is this part at in the game? (Taste the blood in the tunnel)

below the kitchen sink, the location is called tunnel, get to the end and you'll find monster blood. just taste him and he'll kill you.

Whoops I apparently posted this as a solution not comment *fail* You can die from the ooze in the tunnel as well (not escaping fast enough). I let it kill me and then got the first 9 you listed and it unlocked for me.

that may be due to a patch update, but during the time of the launch, it was required to be have been done within 1 play through, but thanks, i'll add to the guide

doesn't unlock for me. strange
10 deaths in one play trough and 15-16 deaths total.

I start a new game and keep dying following the list.
It unlock at the 13th death. maybe is the type of death and not the enemy that count.
Es. drink the juice on the table and drink from the tiny terror glass count the same.

I'm pretty sure this achievement is glitched as it took me 12 different deaths for me to get it. Also, the Xbox 1 achievement tracker (green % bar) didn't track any death. So, don't count on it to help you.

It unlocked for me at the 12th death when I eat the Taffy? in the candy store. Pretty certain the 360 version was glitchy as well.

it says wear mask for 2-3 mins but ive done this and nothing has happened. ive already removed the mask once. does this make a difference? i missed one in the walkthrough (the blackout one)

Mask method didn't work for me. I'm on death 12 or 13 and still nothing. Going to suck having to run through this again.

This achievement didn't pop for me after 10 deaths (I followed the guide up to 10) Luckily I was then able to eat the pink candy and then jump down the hole in the sewer (Where you throw 10 pieces of junk down) and it unlocked at 12 deaths.
You can still get killed by slappy so if you're following the guide you should be able to get to at least 13 deaths where it will hopefully unlock for you!

i wear the haunted mask, when i work on *Gather all possible items dropped from the laundry chute.* i died every 6 room changes. was my 12th dead and got the achievement.

Just completed this game twice in two days (XB1 and 360) and in both versions I needed 12 unique deaths, not 10.

Yep, seems to be 12.
Following the WT, nothing after 10 deaths.
But after touching the purple candy and wearing the mask for too long it finally unlocked...

This is bullshit. I need one more death for the required 12/10 and the haunted mask will not kill me despite wearing it for 40 mins while i travel around the map aimlessly. I hate this game.

Anyone attempting this amongst the other achievements make sure you take die first and then take your monster picture second, anything you pick up or do in the room before dying doesn't count towards the achievements and you lose those items once you die.

I got this in 10 deaths, I'm pretty sure the ones that are supposed to count as separate (drink purple stuff from Deliliah and then drinking the purple stuff on the table) don't count as 2 unique deaths. Maybe this was a patch at some point? For me on a 2nd full playthrough I got it with the following:
Weed Man
Storm Tunnel
Drink from Deliliah
Crawlspace wrong turn
Annihilator
Gargoyle saliva
Evil twin in attic
Werewolf
Gnomes
Mall Cop

If you keep dying from the mannequins you can use the face powder on the floor to reveal which one isn't haunted

Ok I don't know if it counts for anything... I was curious so tasted the saliva from the gargoyle mouth outside the parent's window (open window and you will get the option) and I got a game over after turning to stone. That's a different text response than tasting the monster blood, but I couldn't say for sure it's a different death. (sorry just trying to help make sure it's a full list, even though yours is more than complete for achievement requirements ^_^)

Great list though it may not need to be done in one play through. I started a second save and it unlocked on the first death, which I'd missed on my first save.

I am not sure if it is a glitch. I played the stacks side by side and this is the only achievement I had trouble with. I got my achievement around my 13th or 14th death as well. However, it unlocked on both versions at the same time. So it looks like some of them might count as duplicates.

I know this is old but I would suggest trying to get killed by as many of the "missable" ones as possible. Such as being crushed by the shrinking room.

There are more than 10 ways to die throughout the game. Whenever you die, make sure you choose "retry" and not "reload", otherwise the game won't log the death.

1) House – Dining room - drink Aunt Dahlia's drink when she offers it to you
2) House – Dining room - drink prune juice on table in dining room
3) House – Upstairs guest bedroom – use anything other than dish soap on attacking robot
4) House – Master bedroom – taste poisonous saliva from gargoyle outside window
5) House – Attic entrance – use anything other than gargoyle saliva on the Monster Blood
6) School – Forest – use anything other than the shrunken head on the Beast
7) School – Pipe outside of forest path – jump down the giant hole in the side of the pipe
8) School – Forest – enter forest after clearing house without having talisman in inventory (I have not personally tried this; I'm assuming because there's a trophy for having the talisman)
9) Mall – Security kiosk – cause the power to go out, then run down the incorrect path (down or left) until the gnome kills you
10) Mall – Mayfields – give the wrong riddle item to Cronby
11) Mall – Anywhere – let Officer Murphy catch you wandering around
12) Mall – Fitting rooms – two of the three mannequins are dangerous and will kill you if you try to pick them up
13) Mall – Candy shop – pick up any of the pink taffy candy from the bins
14) Mall – Bookstore – pick the default conversation options with Slappy the dummy until he kills you

When passing the game, be sure to die at the hands of all the monsters and do not restart the save, but press RETRY. Also, don’t forget to taste all sorts of questionable liquids and jump into holes in the floor
