How to unlock the Weapon Specialist achievement in Gotham City Impostors - Definitive Guide

if you can, have a friend motivate you as you use the falcon blade. and block as much as you can and when they reload kill them. your friend gets a high score from motivating you the whole match and you get a lot of xp from deflecting a lot of bullets.

also i did mine with the jackhammer. but im going for gold with the falcon blade now and i am using this tactic and it is working very well.

also add the masochist psyche pofile so you can max your xp!!

if you dont want to use this method then just stick to one gun like i did. i unlocked my achievemet around level 70. well before reaching 100.

To get this achievement, you have to do all the feats for 1 loadout weapon. To see these for each weapon, you check Track Record, then Feats of Prowess, and then Weapons.

Whichever weapon you choose to do, then you are going to have to get 1000 kills and 500 head shots with it, so choose one you want to use for a while. The exceptions are the Motivator, the Deep Freezer, the shotguns, or the explosives weapons,

Most weapons feats are related to their weapon mods (getting kills with extended mags, killing armored enemies with Penetrator Ammo, ect.). Whatever weapon you choose to complete all feats with, you have to unlock all the weapon mods for that weapon.

I got this achievement with the Bear-Stalker bow since it only has one weapon mod for a feat, but if you don't like that weapon, another easy options would be one of the shotguns because they do not have head shot feats, but instead have close range kill feats. The Deep Freezer freeze gun doesn't have a head shot feat either, but you will have to knife a ton of frozen enemies, so I wouldn't recommend it. The Motivator is another easy choice, but I would only recommend it if you really like being the medic, cause you will be healing for a while before you finish all it's feats. I also do not recommend using any explosives weapon for this achievement, cause good luck getting hundreds of multi-kills with them.

Also, knife kills do not count towards this achievement.

I agree, if you're not proficient at headshots the shotgun track is a good way to go. The Thunder Dragon rocket launcher seemed like an easy way to go at first, but I wasn't getting enough multi-kills.

For a shotgun, all the additional mod-related feats go down quickly; they are single-level feats with relatively low target numbers. I'll still be working on my Chaperone's primary kill feat and secondary close-kill feat long after I finish with all the attachments.

Chaperone is the best all you need are mod feats which are really easy and close range kills which will come naturally as you use the weapon. If I see a guy in front of me and he doesn't see me, I'll wait until i'm very close then kill him for those extra kills towards close range kills.

I am using the jackhammer....might have been a bad choice as head shots will take awhile but its all i have left really.

Kingmaker (from dlc) is really fast because all it's kills count as headshots. There is a BIG problem with it though. Hollow point kills don't count for the Feat. So im working on everything else until they fix it

I think Gatekeeper is best. Chaperone has weak damage. Sure you'll get this achievement alot easier using another weapon but it'll take you longer to get to level 100. And you'll get this achievement waaaay before hitting level 100 no matter what you use (except maybe thunder dragon) so it's best to go with the best weapon.

I can confirm that the knife does not count towards the achievement, since I'm using the falcon blade it counts towards knife kills AND falcon blade kills.

Have to agree with GLBlizzard. Using the Flacon Blade and just finished my feats and no achievement. :-(

Is it just me, or is it absurdly difficult to get the close kills with the Persuader? I've gotten well over 1,000 kills with it, but I just got my hundredth close kill last Sunday.
Also, while I'm glad that I'm not the only one to notice that happy Kingsmaker headshot glitch, I suppose I should really use it to get as many headshots as possible because I'm sure they'll fix that with the hollow point.

Also, would like to note that if you are considering using the kingmaker for this achievement and are worried about the jacketed hollow-point bullet mod and it's inability to count towards the feat, then have no fear. I found that the muzzle-break mod gives kills towards both its own feat and the jacketed hollow-point. I have no idea why, but that plus the 'any kill is a headshot kill' glitch make this gun exceptionally good for this achievement.

Just completed with gatekeeper iron sights. I liked it better without reflex or red dot.

I can confirm that knife kills do not count towards this achievement; it has to be a loadout weapon.

Don't know if they changed anything in the game since Mr Muktuk's post, but I found the Persuader to be a very fun and easy choice to use for this achievement. If you use either extended mags or the BO sniffer and go for hip-fire upper-body shots, you'll more often than not get a headshot. Do that from close range and most enemy types drop fast.

Anybody know if doing this with DLC weapons will still pop the achievement? I'm almost done with the Witch Doctor, and would hate to not get the achievement after all that work.

I strongly suggest to use shotgun to get this cheevo. I decided to use dawn patrol for this and obviously it was a mistake. When I completed the 1000 kills feat, I had less than 250 head shots in the counter. I completed all the other feats a long time ago. I have checked that average head shots per game would be something like 5. And I think it's not even bad result, since quite often in the end game result I see that I did more head shots than anyone else. I have now 300 head shots in a counter and 500 is required, so it will still take quite many games to play. I'm using reflex sight for dawn patrol, but especially with longer ranges, it's not accurate enough. My persuader stats show that from 130 kills, about 75 are close range kills. Although I used shotgun basically as a secondary weapon to finish the kills, or changed it when seeing someone coming near.

So better to use shotgun to get this, since the close range kills come naturally with a shotgun. But it's too late for me to change to shotgun anymore.

Ok, it wasn't too hard, so now three days after my last comment I have this achievement. So reflex sight works actually quite well. Most difficult to kill with headshot are those damn roller-skate guys especially when they were jumping. Because they move too fast for reflex scope...

Does being promoted erase these stats?

Falcon Blade easiest and most fun to do! Lots of hate mail though.

I did this with the huntsman, 1,216 kills to finish everything

I got this using the Falcon Blade, once you have all the kill feats unlocked (which is fairly easy and very fun imo) use a burly body type with body armor and roller skates and falcon blade and just lurk at the health stations while constantly blocking incoming fire, also make sure to slice up or run away from anybody using rocket launchers! Bit of a grind with you having to play somewhere around 20 to 25 matches but I believe this is the fastest way to get this.

I got this achievement using the Shredder. Do all weapon mods first, then throw the reflex sight mod on and go for head shots. This is a very good weapon, 60 bullets and in my opinion has the best accuracy as far as automatic weapons go. If you get caught in a hallway with enemies lining up, done deal.

With that said, I almost finished the headshot pro feat before the kills feat.

The Bear-Stalker is also a good choice as posted before, I just didn't care for holding down the trigger to charge the arrows.

Shredder is indeed a good weapon, headshots are easy with Reflex Sight. Only place I sort of had issues was killing armored opponents with the Pentration Ammo. Seems like every match I played only 1 person would have armor, so it took me a little while to knock that Mod out.

For those of you attempting this with a boosting party I have a couple of recommendations. We formed a regular group to knock out all of the achievements for the game and have started unlocking this now for members of the group.

Firstly, the weapon: choose the Falcon Blade. I know it’s been said before but this is hands down the easiest weapon to complete if you have a group of people. The people working on this, usually 3 out of 6 at a time, should have the following load out:

Ready Weapon: Falcon Blade
Backup Weapon: Doesn’t matter
Support Item: Whatever you want but I’d suggest the motion sensor so you can work on that as well from level 18.
Gadget: Whatever you want
Character: Mighty body type
Fun Fact 1: Either Regenerative or Horse Healthy
Fun Fact 2: Kinda Bulletproof
Rampage: Doesn’t matter as you won’t be dying or dishing out damage
Psych Profile: Doesn’t matter

This will give you the most health and health regen so you don’t accidentally get killed.

For the person dishing out the damage use the following profile:

Ready Weapon: Desperado with muzzle break
Backup Weapon: Falcon Blade
Support Item: Doesn’t matter but again I’d recommend motion sensor to start working on it.
Gadget: Whatever you want
Character: Speedy (good for when it’s your turn to die)
Fun Fact 1: Fleet-Footed (again, not massively important)
Fun Fact 2: Doesn’t matter
Rampage: Doesn’t matter
Psych Profile: Doesn’t matter

This is geared up for generating the fastest rate of fire causing the least damage. The desperado SMG with the muzzle break mod has RoF 9 and damage 3!!

The most important unlocks are the the Falcon Blade, Mighty body type, the desperado and muzzle break. After this I’d grab Kinda Bulletproof and Regenerative/Horse Healthy. When this is done anything else you want; it all comes down to when you get the keys needed to unlock.

Now you have these set up head over to a Fumigation match (long timer and grab as many kills as you want), find a regen station (little green heart on the map), preferably near a wall to avoid knock back. The guys with the Falcon Blades will use these to regen lost health, the attackers will use them to refil ammo.

Split the time in half however you want, 1 match each or half your session time for example, and then go to town on the deflects. You are after 3750 for each person. To avoid taking too much damage I would assign 1 player on each team as a pair and always shoot the same person. If taking fire from multiple people it’s too easy to die.

When these are done have everyone choose their speedy load outs, so they have less health, and then get started on 750 kills. If you are in a group looking for all the achievements I’d potentially look at combining this with farming nemesis kills as well.

The final thing you need is just 1 triple kill; just get all 3 players to stand next to each other and slash away!

When this is done you will have 3750 deflects, 750 kills and a triple kill. And a new achievement :)

Happy hunting!

You gain access to the Feats of Prowess of Weapons at level 10.
Particular feats are different for each weapon and the game has several different types of weapons that cater to different play styles.

Rifles, Submachine Guns, Heavy Weapons and Sniper Rifles are good for people used to playing first person shooters as they usually have: X amount of kill, X amount of headshots and X amount of kills with each mod equipped; as their feats, although the (Heavy Weapon) Deep Freezer is different in that it has feats for inflicting damage with the weapon as well as shattering enemies with your knife after freezing them instead of kills and headshots.

If you have difficulty gaining headshots, you may prefer Shotguns as they need close kills instead; though you have to be more or less right next to the enemy when you gain the kill. Launchers are good for people that prefer ambush attacks and need muti-kills instead of headshots.

If enjoy playing Medic you may find that the Motivator is a good weapon to use for this as it doesn't require any kills (as you can't do damage with it) or mods (there are none), just healing. Although the feat to gain 1200 healing in 10 seconds will take teamwork, as you will more than likely need to heal 3 to 4 players using the Mighty body type while they are under constant fire.
