The cheapest way I could find to do this was to buy the Gran Turismo go-kart (from Gran Turismo brand in Japan in Brand Central) which is 10,000 x 10 =100,000 total.
[Update] With the 1.26 update it is now possible to sell these cars back but you can only sell 1 of each car model back per day so it will take up to 10 days to sell them back if you want to.

What a shitty trophy, just in the game to suck out your credits. No other point.

Just to add that you can sell the extra karts to the used car dealership. The appraised value fluctuates each day, but as of now you can get back about 3200 credits for each kart. Better than nothing I suppose. Downside is you can only sell one duplicate kart (or any duplicate car) per day.
