I had a stupid problem with this one. My television is a little on the old side and doesn't allow you to adjust the screen's vertical or horizontal dimensions, thus the button required to activate the bomb was cut off by the screen. If anyone else has this problem, the correct button to activate the bomb is "left" on the directional pad.

When i got to the garage where the bomb is put on the car, the garage door was not open. I had to drive away from the area to reload it and then the door was open.

What I recommend doing is save before you do the mission the 1st time, if you do the mission then die, get busted, fail, etc. you will not be able to get the achievement. I found this out the hard way. I had to restart a lot..
It doesn’t matter if the car sparks a couple times. as long as you don’t break off any peices or make it spark a ton you’ll be fine. Make sure to arm the bomb before you park. If you arm the bomb then get back in the car the car will explode. Best of luck!

Getting to Mike’s car won’t be a problem, drive recklessly, trash stuff. The quicker you get there the more time you have later.
Once you get into Mike’s car, take the softly softly approach, taking care when reversing out of the lot. Don’t hit any vehicles, road furniture or pedestrians.
The game will render sparks from the bottom of the vehicle when you go up and down slopes on the road - they DONT count as damage, so don’t worry about it too much.
Even driving slowly and carefully, I had two minutes left on the timer when I parked up and activated the bomb. Plenty of time 😊
