How to unlock the Smooth Moves achievement in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide

The solution below no longer seems to work, haven't tested it myself.

During any dancing minigame when it say's perfect up the top simply quit by pressing cn_Y and the achievement should pop.

You can partake in a dance routine in the mission "Life's a Beach" (OG Loc) or in various nightclubs found here: https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Nightclub#Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_....

I quit with Y as soon as I saw I had a perfect score on Life's a Beach and got the achievement. Cheers.

This achievement won't pop. I've missed the OG loc mission. Went to nightclub and finished a dance with perfect at the top but no achievement.
The quitting midway don't work either

You can't do it on the beach mission. It will fail you for quitting.

It isn’t just hitting each one. Did that multiple times, all great and no unlock. Has to say perfect at the end.

This is totally random.
You can't quit during the dance, it won't unlock

I finally unlocked it after missing the last beats and on the last 3 i went from "bad" to "perfect" and it popped, lol.

Ok nvm i got it. Got score 3780. Every single move was great. It has to say perfect at the end. That is the criteria. You can’t quit early when it says perfect and get it. Not sure if you can miss any. I didn’t. Maybe you can be trash at the start then get better and when it says perfect at the end you still get it. Or maybe it has to be top score. That’s how I got it. Maybe this helps someone.

This is related to the dance mini-game. You can unlock this achievement on one of Jef- I mean, OG Loc's first couple of missions, "Life's a Beach".

The aim of the minigame is to wait until the arrows fully get inside the one that's in the middle of the screen and then press the corresponding button on the d-pad. You don't even need to get a "perfect" in all of the moves, you only need to do a good enough job. I haven't found out what score that actually translates to.

If you missed it during the mission you can do two things:

1) According to Chob: "btw if you fail this, an easy way to retry is to punch the DJ right after, the mission will fail and you'll be prompted to reload the checkpoint".

2)You can visit any of the clubs in the game and go at it whenever you want. I went to the Alhambra, which is in Los Santos, so can get it early in the game as well:

The secret to this achievement is making the arrows fit almost perfectly, it's basically timing.

The site the image is on doesn't allow hotlinking so it's not showing up.

@Blissed Away
I noticed when I first tried to post the image on its own. You can click on the link I've posted and it actually opens the image in another tab.

For anyone having trouble with this, I tired nearly 20 times during OG Loc's mission "Life's a Beach." I always went from perfect to good within the last 2 notes. I went to the night club Alhambra in Los Santos and I got it first try. So if anyone is having trouble go to the night club. Seems easier there.

The first mission you get from OG Loc is "Life's a Beach". You have to go to the beach near where you start this mission and have to talk to the lady near the sound van, you will need to get 2500 points by dancing in order to continue the level.

When you are dancing, you see arrows at the bottom of the screen scroll left to right, and have to push the D-Pad in the right direction to score points, they will either be " bad" "good" or "perfect". You want to hit every arrow perfectly for this achievement. Doesn't take long to do and the 2500 points is easy to get

During any dancing minigame when it say's perfect up the top simply quit by pressing cn_T and the achievement should pop.

Nightclubs you cqn make it are located at
- The Alhambra in Los Santos. The building is a copy of the real-life Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles (which is mostly a venue for celebrity awards ceremonies, but has hosted rave parties in its Expo Center in the past).
-!Gaydar Station, a gay club located in Queens, San Fierro.
- An unnamed club in Las Venturas adorned with neo-new-age murals, found east of The Camel's Toe right across the street from the basketball courts. It may or may not be based on Club 662 in Las Vegas, owned by Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, and 2Pac's intended destination the night he was shot.
