How to unlock the Rescue a Kitten Too? achievement in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Guide
I have made a quick map of where you can find a Firetruck.
(press the map to expand)
map of all Firetruck spawns: http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/Fire_Truck_location_%28GTA_San_An...
Please note* it has to be a Firetruck with a firehose and not a ladder,so the one in San Fierro (western city) won't work. i recommend you do it in the starting(southern) city
Edit: Apparently firetrucks with Firehoses spawn in San Fierro to but it isn't 100% that that type will spawn the first time you drive there. Thanks to: SMlFFY
Enter the Firetruck and press the button on your screen (default is pressing ) to start the Firefighter mission.
*Note! make sure you don't press Right stick (or the button you used to start the mission) that will cancel the mission and you will have to restart completely.
exiting the firetruck will also cancel the mission, so try to avoid getting stuck and flipping upside down.
This has happened me multiple times, so be careful.
You will get a blue marker on your screen, go there before the timer runs out and extinguish the fire on the car and sometimes humans that go out of the car, ( to shoot the water(default controls))
This is more based on luck so i can't really give an exact solution. but i will give some tips.
The bigest chance that you fail the mission is that your Truck flips upside down get stuck or break down in any other way. Focus on driving safely and you should be able to do it fairly easily. The game gives you plenty of time so you should be able to drive slower without failing by time.
make sure that you put out the fire on everything, sometimes People will run out of the burning car and they might move away from it, look at the mini-map for blue markers
you can pause the game and plan ahead where to go first, the timer will stop when you pause it, back to expand the map.
You will start of by 1 burning vehicle at the time but the higher level you are at the more burning vehicles will spawn.
start the firefighting missions in an area of the map that is easy to navigate and that doesn't have any complicated roads and bridges.
https://www.trueachievements.com/MrFunkeeMan.htm said that you can do it in the country side witch is easy to navigate and drive.
Other than that it is pretty much straight forward, you should have more than enough time to extinguish the fires and reach level 12 so you may want to focus on driving a bit more carefully to avoid having to restart.
After you have mastered the firefight mode you will get a resistance to fire.
Thanks to o DEEVIUS o for confirmation.
If you vote down-vote please tell me why so i can improve the solution.
any suggestions or questions? ask below, i will reply as soon as possible.

Cant guarantee it's a 100% spawn but it was there the first time I went. Flipped the firetruck and exploded so now I'm doing the ambulance missions. Going back there after so I'll let you know if it's spawned both times.

It seems to me like it is a 100% spawn, i have now been there at least twice and it has spawned all the times, it is also marked as a spawn location on the San Andreas wiki if i'm not mistaken.
That has happened to me to, it flips way to easy, i think the key to that is driving very carefully. after all you get a lot of time to do the objectives.

This can be completed at any time, but is most easily done in a city so you don't flip the truck. Find a firetruck by starting a fire (blowing up cars will usually attract one, but will get you Wanted) or finding one by any fire station. The fire station in Los Santos is located under the freeway. Completing this mission set will make CJ fireproof (will not lose health when on fire).

I advise you to get this trophy at the very beginning of the game, in 1x completing 12 levels gives at least 50 thousand bucks, in 2x it gives you invulnerability to fire, which will be useful in many missions. You can easily get a car at the entrance to the commercial area near the highway.

It’s better not to do this in San Fiero, I had a glitch there that there was a car on the roof and I failed this task

Easy mission. The whole difficulty lies in the cops, whom you can inadvertently touch and they can ruin your life. Physics was also infuriating. Because this “colossus” bounced off the posts like a big...
Took place in the first city.

It is not necessary to complete it at the very beginning of the game; if you wish, you can complete it to immediately get the achievement at the beginning of the game, but be sure to complete the fireman mission before the last mission called “End of the Line” (for which you also get an achievement). Because there will be a moment where you need to get out of the burning house within a certain time. I won't spoil further
So, I figured out where it’s most convenient to carry out the firefighter’s mission:
* Los Santos: there is little traffic, there are mountains, but not much, the only thing that gets in the way there is getting on the highway - people drive there like crazy and crash into everything, so be careful not to roll over.
* Countryside: just a terrible place - a lot of mountains, some paths, exits, driveways, but you can’t complete the mission stupidly in the countryside - you’ll still be randomly sent to either San Fierro or Los Santos. In general, it’s better to save your nerves and don’t do this mission in the countryside.
* San Fierro: a lot of mountains, a lot of traffic and a lot of jumps, I don’t recommend doing it there either, on almost every road you can find an incline or an exit, it’s very easy to roll over.
* Desert: The location is a little better than the countryside, but still, it's best not to do this mission there. There are still mountains and dangerous places there, albeit in small quantities.
* Las Venturas: the roads are large, the city itself is built smoothly, that is, there are no zig-zag turns, any circles, almost all the roads are made conveniently, there is space on the road, and there are no mountains at all. I advise you to do this mission there before the final mission.
